Background: coils produced in Hot Strip Mill (HSM) are likely to have flatness defects
Problem: failure to detect coil defects leading to high rejection rate
Facility: Hot Strip Mill Volume: Thousands of process parameters Real-time
Objective: to reduce coil rejection rate through effective measures
Prediction coil flatness in production (HSM) in real time
Online visualization Early detection of defects allows to prevent
subsequent defective coils Faulty coils can be reassigned for another use
once detected Direct cost savings
