THE TASER X2

Designed with three things in mind – safety, accountability and performance – the TASER X2 is our safest and most e�ective weapon to date:

The TASER X2 is digitally connected to the Axon network and data streamed from the device – such as usage logs – can be stored and accessed via Evidence.com – our cloud-based Digital Evidence Management Solution (DEMs).

THE LIFE-SAVING DETERRENT In 5.4% of deployments in the US, TASER use is deemed to have averted what would have been justified use of lethal force by law enforcement equating to:

202,214 LIVES SAVED.*

In a review of 1.04 million calls for service in three mid-size police departments in three US states over a two-year period, there were 1,201 uses of TASER. In 99.75% of cases, suspects su�ered no serious injury.**

ACCOUNTABILITY BUILT IN The TASER X2 smart weapon is digitally connected. The charge output and firmware can be updated over the web and health checks performed remotely. And, critically, the device can wirelessly report its status, such as being armed or a trigger pull, so your Axon cameras can sense specific events and automatically begin recording incidents.

Our body worn camera helps your teams stay focused and features unlimited HD video with robust security.

• Protect o�cers and the truth: Helps o�cers stay focused on what’s in front of them, with Axon Signal switching the cameras to record when events happen (e.g. activating a TASER Smart Weapon’s light bar).

• A tough companion for teams: Built tough, the camera copes with all weathers and the rough and tumble of the street and can operate for 12 hours on one charge.

• Ease video transfer: The Axon Body 2 can stream videos over Wi-Fi and is Bluetooth-ready (to assign metadata).

THE METROPOLITAN POLICE AND BODY WORN VIDEO

The world’s biggest roll-out of body worn cameras is underway across the Metropolitan Police Service’s 32 boroughs, with up to 22,000 Axon Body 2 units being supplied to o�cers. Commenting on the deployment, Superintendent Adrian Hutchinson says:

Signal Vehicle allows your Axon Body 2, Axon Flex, Axon Flex 2 and Axon Fleet and Fleet 2 cameras to sense nearby events and start recording, such as the opening of the car door or the arming of a TASER X2.

Wireless and compatible with most regulation sidearm holsters, Signal Sidearm ensures there’s no di�erence in the range of motion or feel of a draw. It alerts nearby Axon cameras to start recording when a weapon is drawn and creates an audit report in Evidence.com.

Signal Performance Power Magazine captures critical footage when using the TASER X2. The battery reports to our nearby cameras when a weapon is armed so they start recording, and logs the moment the trigger is pulled and the arc is engaged.

Robust security is built in with pin-code access and the option to configure deletion and security protocols. Axon Citizen enables three-click evidence submission that o�cers can make available to individual witnesses or your entire community. Content goes into Evidence.com where it’s instantly categorised and searchable. Audit trails show o�cer and collection information and data while community members can choose to keep their contact information from being stored in the app. There’s no limit on file sizes. All submissions are screened for viruses. And triage tools help your teams quickly decide which media to accept or decline.

With Axon View, you can connect body worn cameras to smartphones.
