Welcome to Rayat London College

Rayat London College is an independent educational establish-ment, committed to providing quality educational programmes for current and prospective students. The college is accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education. The college has a variety of programmes to choose from, ranging from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees to professional diplomas.

As a college, we are proud to have our degrees and professional programmes/diplomas recognised by respected and well estab-lished institutions and bodies. Our undergraduate and postgrad-uate degrees are both validated by the University of Wales, one of the oldest universities in the UK. Moreover, this year we have added two new professional diplomas awarded by the Institute of Administrative Management. Furthermore, the college prides itself on having an excellent faculty from all disciplines and backgrounds, equipped with enriched knowledge and experience.

Chairman’s Message

Education is a very important contributing element to both social mobility and economic development. Technological progress in the last few decades in communication, transportation and information has helped to eliminate national barriers and create a global market place. At Rayat London College our mission is to encourage students to develop confidence, self-motivation, research and problem-solving skills and more importantly to think independently. Furthermore, we aim to provide an academically exhilarating environment allowing our students to enjoy a first-class educational and social experience.

When combining these aspirations, we believe that graduates from Rayat London College will be well equipped to meet the challenges of the global market place and command an exceptionally high reputation amongst employers.

Principal’s Message

May I too welcome you as a student of Rayat London College. In the 21st century we live in a knowledge economy. This means that the fruits of success are likely to go to those who are life-long learners. Your future also depends on acquiring the learning skills that are readily transferable to new situations as the world changes. Whatever the course you have chosen to pursue at Rayat London College, the aim is similar: to learn to learn.

Learning requires that you fully engage with the opportunities we offer. You will succeed only by hard work, consistently undertaken under the guidance of your tutors. Any student who does not engage is likely to fail and Rayat London College is certainly not in the business of failure. RLC website is a guide to your future learning experience. Read it carefully. Follow its advice. And, as I have said, engage with your course diligently.

Finally, remember this. As well as attending to your studies it is essential to build for yourself a balanced life. In addition to studying, you also need to develop a social life and friendships and give something back to the community in which you live. Career Advice and Development

Career advice is an important aspect of every educational institution and here at Rayat London College we make sure that this service is available to our students. We also provide one-to-one support for students who need further help their careers search. We will also take students to relevant career with fairs and career related events.We also offer impartial and confidential careers advice and guidance to all of our students. The college has a careers advisor who will guide you to develop your resume, sharpen your communication and interpersonal skills which will enhance and help you to be presentable and confident during your interviews.To find out more information about careers advice, please call our Career Advice Officer who will be very pleased to help you on 020 8538 2826. We receive many enquiries related to careers in the UK Some of which are mentioned below:

Working and Work ExperienceWe appreciate that some of our students would like to work during their studies. We also understand that some of you would like to gain work experience for your future careers which is why we have given guidelines below for each type of work.Please be advised that although the UK student visa permits you to work to a maximum of 20 hours, it is important that you prioritise your studies which may mean reducing your working hours during exam and assignment times.Working in excess of this could mean a breach of the UKBA rules. That may result in a withdrawal of your student visa by the UKBA.

Life in the United Kingdom

AccommodationStudents need to make sure that they have secured suitable accommodation before they arrive in the UK. At Rayat London College we will help students secure cheaper and comfortable accommodation in the area of West London. FinanceUsually the college expects fees to be paid upfront before the start of the course. However, we understand and appreciate that some of our students cannot fulfil this requirement which is why we provide an instalment service whereby the student can divide the course fees accordingly. Please note that different courses will have different instalment plan. You must ensure adequate funds are available prior to accepting a place of study at Rayat London College.

HealthIt is important for our students to register with their local GP at their earliest convenience when they arrive in the UK.Registering with the GP is not a complicated process. Below we provide links and information on how you can start your registration process with your local GP.

TravelTravelling around London is easy by train and bus. The city has excellent and extensive underground and rail links which makes it easy to commute all over London. As a student in the UK you are entitled to discounted fares and special offers on underground and rail travel. For example, the Oyster is a blue plastic card you can use instead of paper tickets. You can put Travelcards, passes and railcards on it, as well as credit which you use up as you travel. They are reusable; you just keep topping up with credit or renewing your Travelcards on the same Oyster card when you need to. You can apply for this online at

How to get to Rayat London College

By Underground (from Central London or Heathrow)Take the Piccadilly Line towards Heathrow, alight at Hounslow east station. From there take the 111 bus towards Heston. Alight at St Leonard’s Church bus stop.

By Train (From Central London)Take the mainline train from Paddington to Southall train station, from there take the 120 or 111 bus towards Heston. Alight at St Leonard’s Church bus stop. Alternatively, from Southall, take the 432 or H32 bus towards Heston and alight at the New Heston Road bus stop.

By BusRLC is located close to the St Leonard’s Church bus stop, which is serviced by buses 111 and 120.
