    The new CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing has been designed and

    developed to give you exactly what marketerswant:

    a flexible approach with courses delivered in bite-sizedchunks

    a qualification title that clearly demonstrates your area of expertise

    a qualification which equips you with the theory and skills required to work in a marketing role at a tactical level

    To gain the qualification, you will need to study two mandatory modules (Strategic Marketing and Marketing Metrics) and one elective module (either Digital Strategy or

    Driving Innovation). It is the choice of this elective which will determine the title of the qualification that you receive from CIM.

    So if you choose the Digital Strategy option, your qualification title will be:

    CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing (Digital Strategy)

    If you choose the Customer Experience option, your qualification will be:

    CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing (Driving Innovation)

    If, at a later date, you pass the fourth module, you can ask CIM to renew your Certificate with the alternative qualification title.

    CIM Diploma Modules

    l Strategic Marketing (Mandatory)

    Assessed by a three-hour exam a pre prepared marketing plan, topics include: Techniques for assessing the external and internal environments A detailed look at the marketing planning process Managing resources Monitoring and measurement techniques

    l Marketing Metrics (Mandatory)

    Assessed by a 12-page work based assignment, topics include: Dealing with market challenges by taking a visionary approach and embedding

    innovation Achieving solutions through marketing and entrepreneurship Factors in building nurturing innovation Using appropriate data sources and employing appropriate analytical tools

    l Driving Innovation (Elective)

    Assessed by a 12-page work based assignment, topics include: How to enhance the customer experience Assessing customer expectation and delivering activities to meet those

    expectations Customer experience frameworks Supporting a culture of innovation and in implementing change programme

    l Digital Strategy (Elective)

    Assessed by a 12-page work based assignment, topics include: Implementing digital marketing capabilities into marketing planning The impact of the disruptive digital landscape in delivering objectives Responding to market needs with a digital marketing mix Managing digital channels and application of digital measures

    l It is possible to complete one of the above modules as a stand-alone course, upon which and individual award can be achieved.
