Humanity leaves immortal echoes through its history in the form of language, art and
architecture. These echoes are not simply to be viewed in retrospect, rather this tradition
achieves new forms of beauty in the hands of individuals. Thus, Architecture is a connection
with the immortal past. The architects revitalize this immortal past and its historical buildings,
repurposing them for a new generation. The architects are the arbiters of our future history.
Whether we consider the monumental structures like Taj Mahal or the modern icons such as
Sydney Opera House, each work telling the story of its creation. It is man’s instinct desire to
innovate, decorate, create and materialize the impossible dreams. Architecture is also a
melting pot of various disciplines. When we study Architecture, we also get to study various
fields of human endeavor, including Art, History, Material Science, Physics and
Engineering.
At Delhi Technical Campus, we provide a promising and futuristic architecture program. Our
focus is on the emerging trends in architecture like sustainability, green building and form
based design.
The Department is empowered with highly experienced and renowned architects,
architecture educators of Delhi NCR along with our specialized young faculty who hone the
creative skills of our promising young students to achieve great heights as architects in the
near future. The diverse fields of specialization of our eclectic faculty ensure that every
student is free to pursue her or his interests in the plethora of opportunities that opens up to
an architecture graduate.
Ideologies
In today’s world, knowledge becomes progressively available on a need-to-know basis. The
architect’s mind is what distinguishes her or him from clients who can procure any
information at the click of a mouse. So, while access to information is available to all, the ability
to synthesize and efficiently use the available information is what distinguishes an expert
from the inept.
As an architect, a fresh graduate is expected to be a thorough professional even before
receiving a degree. At the School of Architecture, we emphasize on the student’s ability to be
an expert of tomorrow. Our focus is to help every student discover the ocean of creativity
within to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.

Infrastructure and facilities
Our resourceful campus and interactive teaching methods provide an ambience of learning
and questioning simultaneously. Workshops, seminars, guest lectures, group discussions and
open house debates on architecture and many related fields are organized regularly. Students
often follow their interests and organize workshops as per their hobbies.
Fully furnished and spacious studios, modern classrooms, well-equipped labs and
workshops, a construction yard with a steady supply of materials ensure that our students
never experience a shortage of infrastructure to realize their ideas.
Future prospects of students
A course in architecture is a complete learning of becoming a professional, a manager, a team-
player besides an architect. The lessons in channeling creativity, using knowledge of
technology and materials to the utmost, being a manager of human resources, become
lifelong lessons.
Our students’ work has been widely appreciated in the architecture community. This opens a
wide array of opportunities for graduates not only to pursue architecture as a profession, but
also delve into other allied fields as well. Our students have interests in arenas as varied from
urban design to automobile design, production design to sustainable architecture.

LE CORBUSIERSeries of Special Lectures
Le Corbusier (1887‐1965): The Swiss‐French architect’s entry into India completely changed the thinking and the atude of the Indian professional from that point in me. Much of the architecture by Lutyens was eclipsed by his modernist approach of this architect. One of the first to realize how the automobile would change human agglomeraons, Le Corbusier showed how both Man and machine could be accommodated in a city’s form in Chandigarh, his iconic contribuon to India.
Le Corbusier's contribuon to architecture and urban planning regulang the built mass along with the aributes of its response to the seng was so splendid that it immediately started a revoluon of ‘modernist’ buildings in the country.
The Lecture Series dedicates itself to this great architect who not only changed the atudes of the Indian architects and policy makers, but also made an irreversible dent on the minds of the urban Indian.
