The OMF Super Filter has been developed to overcome many of the common

problems that occur during the process of EDMing. The OMF Super Filter has

an engineered filter media with a 5 micron rating and has many advantages

over the traditional 5 micron and 10 micron element filters currently available.

16 square meters of filter media as opposed to competitive elements.

Secondary cutting is dramatically reduced.

Wire breakage's are dramatically reduced.

The dielectric system is much cleaner.

Surface finish is greatly improved.

Filter life is greatly increased, due to the increased media.

Extended life from the Ion exchange resin.

The reason is that these kinds of metals are generating viscous hydroxide and they cause clogging in the filter and decrease its life-time.Hard steel alloy, titanium alloy, refractory alloy will generate micro particle during the machining and cause clogging in the filter, shortening life-time of the filter.

These statements are true of all filters manufactured for edm.
