FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TEAM

The PRO FMT, or Facilities Maintenance Team, is a program that has been in development for

a number of years to bring a level of wraparound service that will not only allow PRO’s clients to focus on

the jobs they do well, but will also save them money.

FMTs are units of maintenance positions in place at industrial facilities contracted with PRO. These teams are made up of individuals who not only have a background in mutliple skill-sets custom selected to benefit your facility, but who are also rigorously trained by PRO and talent screened prior to employment. The FMT will provide the daily maintenance function, allowing your employees to focus instead on their core competency in your industry, leaving the maintenance details to the pros.

FMT functions as the go-to maintenance person at these industrial facilities, but anything beyond their maintenance skill set would be referred to PRO’s Skilled Trades Workers as the experts to turn to. Also, in the event that the FMT work load exceeds the current staffing capabilities, the FMT would temporarily turn to Skilled Trades as well.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SKILLED TRADES AND FMT?You may consider the FMT Team to be a custom selected and trained Maintenance Staff. They have certifications in the areas that benefit the industrial environment, but have not gone through the rigorous programs that qualify an individual for Skilled Trades. One of the benefits of this program for the client is that the Skilled Trades within PRO always stand as support back up for our FMT Team.

The wage package is categorized based upon skill sets of Level I, Level II, or Level III. After assessing individual needs and situtaions, PRO will form a team comprised of the three Tech levels customed to needs of your company. The wage is based upon a forty hour schedule for base wage, and increasing beyond that for time and a half. With PRO’s unique alternating pay period start dates, double time is eliminated except for holiday.

Will I receive any bad press regarding laying off my employees?

Your employees will be invited to apply for a position on to the PRO Facilities Maintenance Team

and a talent and skill assessment will be performed. If the candidate is the best fit for the position, they will

be hired on at a comparable wage to what they were previously receiving. PRO FMT will simply free up your organization from having to be responsible for the benefits & training hours involved, and will also allow for any employees hired on to the team to be insured consistent and flexible work hours.

Is there potential for sabotage after employees find out that we have chosen to sign up with PRO FMT? What happens if they strike or walk out?

If that situation were to happen, we could immediately back you up with our skilled trades workers with an interim slightly higher cost, while the maintenance workers are screened for talent, skill, and culture.

Who manages and directs the staff? Who determines the scope of responsibility?

This is completely customizable with the structure of your individual program, and will be defined in your contract.

Will the contract change after the first year? We wouldn’t want to sign on to this just to have the price double at contract renewal.

Yes, and in fact we anticipate that it will go down. The hourly rate is subject to annual cost of living increases or reductions based upon the Cost of Living Index, but as we become more familiar with your facility and our synergies and program benefits become apparent, we anticipate a reduction in your costs.

Will the FMT staff be advocates for the Union?

Never. You have our guarantee that no one from PRO FMT or the AWS Union will participate in any petitioning of your employees. We stand behind our No Strike Clause.

What is the difference between Skilled Trades and FMT?

You may consider the FMT Team to be your well trained Maintenance Staff. They have certifications in the areas that benefit your industry, but have not gone through the rigorous programs that qualify an individual for Skilled Trades. The benefit of this program though is that the Skilled Trades within PRO always stand as support back up for our FMT Team. Whether they need to be brought in for additional resources or to enhance the layer of service our FMT staff provides, with PRO you have the benefit of both layers supporting you.
