Coloured powderI will be using coloured power in my music video where I will get the actor to throw it around so that it creates an interesting, colourful look to the music video. This will tie in to my music video as it will represent the happy stage of the character’s life and how lively the atmosphere is.

UV PaintUV paint will be used to demonstrate the party life of the character which is part of the colourful scenes of the music video illustrating the fun atmosphere in her life.

ConfettiThis is another great prop to use for the lively scenes of the music video to again, represent a party scene. It will be used to rain down on the character.

Blooming roseUsing this will demonstrate how the character was blooming into a lively and beautiful person. I will be recording long periods of the rose blooming over a few weeks and then fast forward it when it comes to editing.

SwingTo demonstrate her youthful life. I will shoot it where the character appears to be happily swinging along with other children surrounding her playing. I will also be using the swing for the negative scenes of the music video and show her lonely as her life has become miserable.

Broken GlassI will be using a mirror that has cracks in it so to represent the character’s dark side of the music video. I will get the actor of the music video to look into the cracked mirror to suggest that her life has broken down and has gone downhill.

VaseUsing a vase and getting to it break will be a great effect to my music video as it will represent how the character’s life has gone from perfect to shattered. I will be using a slow motion effect when it breaks so that it conveys that the character’s happiness in life is slowly breaking away. However, at the end of the music video, I will use a reverse effect so that the broken pieces form back to a perfectly shaped base afterwards to demonstrate that the character has her life back together.

WaterThis will be used to demonstrate how the character is washing away her positive life and can also reflect the way that she is feeling (e.g. sadness). The water will can be used in different ways including the idea of using it as an effect of rain, or getting the actor to wash her face with make-up running down her face.

Withering roseI will be using the opposite of a blooming rose where I will take shots of the rose withering away to represent the opposing idea to the blooming rose. In this case it will be demonstrating how the character’s life is slowly deteriorating away. Again, when it comes to editing I will fast forwarding the shots.
