Speaking OpportunitiesHITRUST is seeking subject matter experts from healthcare, professional services and technology organizations who will address topics of vital importance to healthcare information security professionals and the organizations—both small and large—in which they work. Each speaker chosen will be provided with one complimentary registration for HITRUST 2015.

Speaking opportunities are available for the general sessions and breakout sessions. Speaker proposals should incorporate one or more of the conference themes:

• Emerging Trends. Exploration of hot topics impacting the healthcare industry relating to information security and privacy, including cybersecurity, mobile applications, medical devices, cloud computing, authentication requirements, health information exchanges and identity management.

• Applying Technology. Discussion of the latest technology trends and products available to aid healthcare organizations in advancing their information security and privacy practices, and practical advice on preparing risk assessments to justify the new technologies.

• Compliance and Risk Management. Comprehensive look at how to efficiently and cost effectively address the latest compliance issues and requirements, including current perspectives on risk management, meaningful use, lessons learned from Office of Civil Rights (OCR) audits, vendor management, and the need for coordination between information security, privacy and internal audit departments.

• HITRUST Programs, Solutions and Community. Real-world examples and best practices for implementing the HITRUST CSF, using the HITRUST CSF Assurance Program and MyCSF to conduct assessments and report to multiple parties, and achieving HITRUST CSF Certified or CSF Validated status.

General sessions will be attended by all conference attendees and content should be applicable to one or more of the conference themes and of interest to a cross section of healthcare information security professionals. Presentations may consist of a solo speaker or moderator and panelists. Prepared content should be 60-90 minutes in length.

Attendees will be able to choose between two concurrent breakout sessions. Presentations may consist of a solo speaker or moderator and panelists. Prepared content should be 70-90 minutes.

Speaker proposals are encouraged to offer varied perspectives that span organization size and type and to incorporate case studies, lessons learned and actionable guidance. Presentations should not consist of vendor testimonials or product demonstrations.
