The driver• Grid Operations Center (GOC)/Knowledge-base Center

will be ready for operation in 2007.– A new building at the center of West Coast of Taiwan, with cost > $

11M– Entirely dedicated to Grids, including R&D, applications and services.– The idea was conceived first at 1st PRAGMA.

• “Living Grids” as a target:– GOC itself as a smart building, with HPC facilities, TWAREN backbo

ne facilities, advanced Studio-like Grid lab, digital cinema, advanced viz facilities, smart class rooms, integrated Access Grid facilities and Control and Monitoring room for Grids.

– Platforms for Grid applications will be sophisticated enough, they are tightly connected with people’s life.

– The platforms will be continuously maintained and advanced in GOC.– Incubate New Applications.
