nothing to do with the NewTestament. How can you havepriests? Incense? Altars? Sacrifice?Christ was the fulfilment of all that!The New Testament tells us we’re ALLpriests! God has made us all kingsand priests in Christ! –What was theoriginal concept of the Church?Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “Wait inJerusalem until you receive the HolySpirit. And when the Holy Spirit iscome, you will receive POWER, andyou will become WITNESSES to Me inJerusalem, Judea, Samaria and tothe ends of the earth!” That is the pur-pose of the Church! To be witnessesof Jesus Christ!

The Church is supposed to be a bodyof EVANGELISTS! Not just a cosy groupof Christians sitting together andsinging songs! The Church has lost itssense of ‘witness’. You can ONLY be awitness to something you have seenor heard! You cannot be a witness tosomething somebody else told you,something second-hand... You canonly be a witness in a court of law ifyou can say, “I saw, I heard!” As ayoung pastor God told me to shut upand go out and do the things I wastelling other people to do. The resultis that now, all these years later, I cantell YOU what God has done in MYlife, I have seen round the world whatGod can do, the power of God, thegreatness of God. I serve a God ofpower and authority, a God whoworks miracles, who changes peopleand touches nations – I’m a witnessof the power and glory of God!David said in Psalm 63, “I want to seeYour power and your glory in the bat-tlefield of MY life as I have seen You inthe Sanctuary!” I challenge you inthe Church, if you have seen thepower and the glory of God, youhave got to bring that glory andpower to the people outside, on the‘battlefield’!

But if you have never seen the powerand glory of God, what can you do?!Daniel 11:32 says in the King JamesVersion, those who KNOW their Godwill be STRONG and do EXPLOITS! –What kind of a God do you have? Igo into some churches and theyhave nothing to offer me! The Biblesays the world outside should want

When I was in Jerusalem at the beginning ofNovember 2015 this last year, it was as if the HolySpirit, drew back a curtain, a veil from my eyes.

I was in the Temple Institute where they are makingall the preparations for the rebuilding of theTemple, and I got talking to a rabbi, an OrthodoxJew who works there every day. He showed me achart on the wall, showing all the dispensationsfrom Creation to the final Messianic Age! Hesaid, “The six days of Creation are six days ofthe week. A day is as a thousand years. Theseventh day, the millennium, is the Sabbath.We are living in the sixth day, in the year5776.” But now this is very interesting – therabbi told me it is possible for the start ofSabbath to be declared, not at sunsetaccording to the wording of the Creationaccount in Genesis Chapter 1, but whenonly 75% of the sixth day has passed! This isbecause in different time zones, Shabbatstarts at different times. So according torabbinical law, I was told, a chief rabbican declare Shabbat at any time afterthree quarters of the day has passed!

The rabbi continued, the Jewish year5750 marked the three quarters point inthe 1000 years of the sixth day. – Thatwas the year 1990 in our Western cal-culations! Listen! We’re looking at thischart, and the rabbi said to me, “Weare just over 25 years into this period,this last quartile, 5776 in the Jewishcalendar, still 2015 in the Westerncalendar. Messiah could come atany time!” I found this so signifi-cant. This was not a Christian, nota Messianic Jew, but an OrthodoxJew saying we are NOW living inthe days when Messiah cancome! The whole of Israel isEXPECTING Messiah to come!ANY TIME! I wanted the chart,he said it was the only copythey had, but he took it off thewall for me and I bought it for143 shekels!

But what about the Church?The Church is asleep! Andwhat is the purpose of theChurch? Let me challengeyou! What kind of Churchare you in? Are you in aNew Testament or an‘Old Testament’Church? So much ofwhat we see in the tra-ditional churches is

what you have! I can fill stadiumsand arenas across Europe and inIsrael with unbelievers. Why? Becausethey see the power of God and theywant what I have. We can’t be wit-nesses just by sitting in a pew listeningto a dreary old sermon by someonewho doesn’t know what they’re talk-ing about! We’ve got to come alivein our Churches, we’ve got tobecome the witness to the power ofGod that the world outside wants!We need to have a revolution! Godhas called us ALL to evangelise!When you go to Heaven, the firstthing Jesus will say to you is, “Who didyou bring with you?! How many?!”You see, the Church dies outbecause we don’t evangelise! I readrecently that the average congrega-tion in the churches in Cumbria inBritain is eight! Who wants to go tothat kind of church?! It’s dead. Butwe’ve got to come alive in thepower of God! And we’ve got toevangelise! The call of God to evan-gelism is for everyone! YOU are theonly witnesses God’s got left! Andunless we change, the Church willdie because we are not seeing thepower of God. And there will be nomore witness!!

But I serve a God of power whoanswers prayer and works miracles.I’ve proved it in my life! I want YOU tobecome witnesses of His power inYOUR lives. Get at least somebodyinto the Kingdom of God, don’t go inalone! I’m 83 and I’m still evangelis-ing, more now than ever! I shall neverstop! It’s the ONLY purpose of theChurch, the ONLY commission.People think it’s for the ‘evangelist’,for people like David Hathaway. No!It’s a call to every one of you. Whydid God save you? Why did Jesus diefor you? So that you can ‘squeeze’into Heaven?! No! So that we canwin the world for Jesus!!!

Dealing with Islam today is not just apolitical or military problem, it’s a spir-itual problem. Islam would not suc-ceed if Christians KNEW the power oftheir God! There is coming a timewhen there will HAVE to be an ‘Elijahchallenge’, a confrontation – whenonly the God who answers by Fire isthe true God. When Baal didn’t

answer, Elijah said he must be outhunting, or asleep – Elijah was jok-ing!!! Then what did Elijah do? Heprepared the stones, the wood, thesacrifice and poured 12 barrels ofwater over it to make sure no firecould burn up the sacrifice! In the1960s when I was first going to Israel Ihad a very good friend, a Britisharchaeologist who lived out there,who had found a piece of blue stoneat the site of the sacrifice on MountCarmel. Intrigued, he sent it to theatomic research centre in Britain forexamination. They said that bluestone could only have been formedby an atomic explosion! The fire thatburned up the sacrifice, the wood,the stone and the water in Elijah’sday was atomic fire! Yet it did notdestroy Israel, they had repentedand turned back to God.

We’ve got to get the fire back in theChurch. The fire is available. It’s here.You’ve only got to ask. You can havethe same POWER AND AUTHORITY Ihave. Many times what I have! Getto KNOW God! He will change yourlife, revolutionise your life! Let’s stoparguing and get down to businesswith God! We CAN save the lost, butnot until we KNOW God.

We have to reach the nations forChrist whilst there is still time. Wehave to understand that the wholepurpose of our salvation is theKingdom of God. The preaching ofJesus was – the Kingdom! Thepreaching of the early Church was –the Kingdom! The last thing the disci-ples asked Jesus before He ascend-ed into Heaven was, “Will You at thistime restore – the Kingdom?!” Todayour preaching is about our personalproblems, about prosperity – we’velost sight of the Kingdom! I work forthe Kingdom! I work for the King! I’man Ambassador for the King! I’mpreparing for when King Jesus comesin power and authority!

Hitler preached the thousand year‘Reich’, the thousand year Kingdom– the devil was attempting to pre-empt the Kingdom of God! Whywas Jesus crucified? Because Hewas the King! That’s the accusationagainst Him written on the cross inHebrew, Greek and Latin: ‘The Kingof the Jews’! Why did Herod kill allthe babies when Jesus was born? Tokill the King! But the Church has for-gotten its basic message, theKingdom of God on earth!

Christ’s return will be sudden. It’snearer than you think! He will returnto the Mount of Olives, that’s wherethe last battle takes place, in theValley of Jehoshaphat between theMount of Olives and the TempleMount – Joel 3:1-2 and ZechariahChs 12,13,14. When His feet touchthe Mount of Olives it will split in twoand water will pour out from theTemple Mount – Zechariah 14:8 andEzekiel Ch 47. On my last visit toJerusalem I was shown, first in theMoslem quarter, then in the Christianquarter of the Old City, two deepshafts going down to the vast ancientwater cisterns under the city...

The devil knows Scripture. He’sdetermined to get there first andstop Christ’s return, that’s whatwe’re seeing in the world, in thenews today – the devil in action. TheJews know their Scripture, theybelieve Messiah is coming any time,but they don't know Him. Moslemsknow and believe their Koran, theywill die for their faith, but their 'messiah' is not ours. And the Churchwants to live in comfort…

Oh God, give us men who KNOWYou, Oh God, give us martyrs. OhGod, I will give my life to see thepower of God here on earth, inIsrael, in Europe. Do you have thesame desire I have? Is Jesus and HisKingdom the centre of your life?

Paul says in Romans 1:16, ‘I am NOTashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christbecause it is the POWER OF GOD!’ Undercommunism in the days of the Soviet Union,the churches went underground, they wentinto survival mode. I know, I was visitingthem in those days. But in the Gospel ofJesus Christ is ALL the Power of God! Thepower is not in a ‘Church’ – but in the MES-SAGE of the Church! The rock on which theChurch is built is not Peter, but on the REVE-LATION that Jesus is the Christ, the Son ofGod!

The Church began on the Day of Pentecostwhen the first apostles were baptised in theHoly Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power ofGod motivating the Church! The ministry ofthe Church has to centre where the poweris – in the preaching of the Gospel! When Iwas first invited to speak to Holocaust sur-vivors in Israel, the condition was – basedon the Scripture – that if this Yeshua (ourJesus) is the Jewish Messiah, He will workmiracles like He did 2000 years ago. (That isa tremendous challenge to us as theChurch. If Jesus is alive, then He can still –though us – work the same miracles!) Andthe miracles happened! People who havebeen in my evangelistic meetings knowthat we see many healing miracles.

In 1972 I was thrown into a communistprison when I was found, on my way toRussia, with 5000 Russian Bibles in a secretcompartment in my tour bus. But I’m anevangelist, so I carried on preaching theGospel in the prison! I faced the sameproblem the Church faces today: howcould I convince these people, these crimi-nals, of the truth and the power of theGospel I was preaching? The differencebetween our faith and other religions, isthat our God is alive and He is a prayer-answering God. I determined I would notstay for the 10 years I should have spent inthe prison. I was determined to prove – inthe 20th century – the truth of the power ofthe Bible. But how could I get out? In mypraying I remembered Paul and Silas, andPeter. I said, “Oh God, if You could getthem out of prison, send an earthquake,break the chains, set them free, You havethe same power today, get me out of thisprison!” In my life I’m attempting to provethat the power God had in the Bible is stillavailable today! He’s the same God! I wasdetermined to pray my way out of theprison! But it was impossible! It’s a long story,but briefly, within one year, God worked amiracle, answered my prayer and I flew

home, to London, with the British PrimeMinister! As a result, I was invited to speak inthe Royal Albert Hall to 10,000 people, andfor 2 years I travelled the world telling mystory to two million people!

So you see, God does actually demon-strate and prove that He has power to workmiracles and do the same things He did inthe Bible – TODAY! So many people in theChurch tell me, “David, you can’t do it, youcan’t evangelise like you do!” But we CAN!God works the same miracles today!

My Bible says, ‘I am the Lord your God whoheals you.’ I’m a living testimony. TwiceGod has healed me of cancer with nomedication, no treatment, by a miracle.Throat cancer, in 1964, so powerfullyhealed, that the doctors, when they exam-ined me, asked, “Who did it? Somebodyhas cut it out with a knife!” It was incredible,God did it and left the scar where He hadoperated! You see the evidence?! Goddoesn’t fail! I KNOW God, I KNOW Hispower! Thirteen years ago I had lung can-cer. Again no medication, no operation.God totally healed me, one night inGermany, when the cancer came out ofmy mouth... They had to burn the bed!

Daniel 11:32 says in the English, ‘Those whoKNOW their God will be strong and doexploits!’ Exploits are things other peopledon’t do, can’t do. Things that are miracu-lous. The witness of the Old Testament isthat those who KNOW God will be STRONGand do EXPLOITS! It comes back to knowingGod in a personal way. Relationship. Wehave to be extremely careful here. Morewars have been fought in the name religionthan for any other reason – whether you goback to the crusades, the wars betweenCatholics and Protestants, or today,Moslem killing Moslem, Sunni against Shia...I’m not talking about religion, I’m talkingabout relationship. I believe in the LivingGod, a prayer-answering God. Go back toElijah. The only way he could convinceapostate Israel of the truth of the God ofIsrael, was by the miracle of a prayer-answering God!

I believe in the God of Creation. In Britaintoday it is against the law in our schools toteach that God created, you have to teachevolution. As believers we cannot acceptevolution. Hebrews 11:3 teaches us that theworlds were framed by the Word of God, sothat the things which are seen were notmade from things which are seen! Our faith

in God is faith in a God who created allthings, seen and unseen. The reason forchanging the belief in creation to the doc-trine of evolution is an excuse not tobelieve in God! If all of Creation simplyevolved by itself, then we have no evi-dence of God, but only if He is the Creator,does He have all power and authority – andwe are compelled to believe in Him – andjudgement – and life after death!!!

I work with all denominations because Ibelieve in unity amongst the Churches. The‘Body of Christ’, should be one and notdivided. But we can only unite on the basisof faith in God, faith in the Word of God. Wehave to come back to the Word of God,not to tradition. It shocks me that Jews putthe traditions of Judaism above the writtenScripture. As Christian believers we must notmake that same mistake, we must not puttradition above the Word of God. The Wordof God must be supreme in our teaching,our preaching and our living. As an evan-gelist, I am seeking to demonstrate this, thatwhen we come back to the basics of theWord of God, the simplicity of our faith – ITWORKS!

FAITH WORKS! I have demonstrated this allmy life, in my ministry, in my own healingfrom cancer twice, in my release from thecommunist prison... Because FAITH IN THEBIBLE – IN GOD’S WORD – WORKS!Unbelievers and young people want some-thing that WORKS. Unless you have a faith ina living God who is a prayer-answeringGod, you have NOTHING to give! We can-not just give tradition, ideas, religion, we’vegot to present CHRIST! The centre of ourfaith is Christ – the person, Jesus! I KNOWJesus! I love Him. He’s reality. He’s my life,my forgiveness, my hope, my joy! TheChurch must come back to the teaching ofthe Kingdom of God! Everything is basedon His resurrection and on life after death!And if you believe in life after death, youbelieve in judgement, Heaven and hell. Thereward for those who believe in Jesus isHeaven. The judgement, for those whoreject Him, is hell. Resurrection to life is onlythrough Jesus Christ, for there is only oneName under Heaven whereby men shallbe saved!

Our message is of eternity, of the Kingdomof God – and it all centres on Jesus. If wewant to reach the world, we must have amessage, centred on Jesus, that is powerfuland changes lives!

WHERE IS THE POWER?!Message of David Hathaway – to the Jerusalem Summit of Conservative Apostolic Bishops 31.10.2015

The Jerusalem Summit met to prepare and sign an International Interdenominational Charter in support of Israel, Biblical family life and persecuted Christians.

Let me show you the picture that I have ofEurope, Russia – the Middle East andIsrael.

Fifteen years ago we produced the film,‘The Rape of Europe’. Most of what I saidin that film has been fulfilled, and I willexplain why we called it the RAPE ofEurope. People didn’t like the title anddidn’t like what I was trying to sayprophetically. In my early years I alsospoke a great deal on the SecondComing of Christ, having inherited thatmantle from my father. What I am talkingabout is what is happening – NOW – inmy lifetime and yours. If I believe what Iam saying, and if I believe it is from God, Ihave to ACT on it! I don’t prophesy ingeneral and say, that’s the warning, anddo nothing. I believe SO strongly in what Iam saying, that my whole life is dedicat-ed to acting on it. As a teenager I wasalready preaching on the streets, by thetime I was 18 I was preaching everyFriday at Speakers Corner, Hyde Park, inLondon. It was an extremely good train-ing in evangelism! You had to learn howto draw the crowds! And I’m still evange-lising even more today.

Let me remind you of some of the thingswhich God revealed to me which havealready been fulfilled. I first started travel-ling in the communist countries behindthe Iron Curtain (on my way to Israel) in1961. It was those experiences in EastEurope which opened my heart to thepeople. I had licenses from the commu-nist governments to take tourists throughall their countries. But at that very timeChristians were in prison and dying for

their faith – that’s what touched me,that’s why I committed myself to workwith those countries. Then after 13 years Iended up in a communist prison myself.So I have a very deep insight. I learned tounderstand the people and the countriesI was working in.

Years later, in 1993, I had an experiencewhich still strongly directs what I do. I hadbeen evangelising in Chita, a former cityof exile in Siberia, and on the Sunday wehad the church service in a communistCulture Hall. Before the meeting the inter-cessors were praying at the back of thestage. When the service began, I feltconstrained to continue praying. The pas-tor had told me that, since they hadmoved to this building, they had no free-dom in worship and couldn’t get anybreakthrough. I went behind the backcurtain and in the corner I saw a hugebust of Lenin. As I prayed, I saw a greenlight come in its eyes and it began tospeak to me: “I am the spirit that was inLenin. People think I’m dead, but I’m not.I am the spirit that controls Russia.” I tookaction, rebuked that spirit, broke itspower and spoke over it the Name ofJesus. At this point the pastor hadrejoined me – he, and others, saw thelight in the eyes of the statue, but didn’thear the voice.

We began to do some research, and weproduced the first edition of this maga-zine in Spring 1995, only to publish thebackground of what we discovered!There is a very strong evil spirit controllingRussia which came through the invadingMongol Hordes with Genghis Khan. Thearmies had penetrated not far from Chitaand swept across Russia right through intoEurope. This evil empire reached to within60 miles of Jerusalem, came to the doorsof Vienna; and I discovered, that in thepost war years when Germany was splitinto East and West, it was the Eastern partthat had been dominated by that sameevil spirit. God does reveal things to us!Ministering in Russia, as I did and still do, Ineeded to know what controlling power,what influence is at work.

From my earliest days, God called mevery clearly to Russia and to Europe. Godhas revealed so many things to me inprophecy relating to where I am workingand what I am doing. Having worked inthe communist countries during the years

of the Cold War, in the 1960s, 70s, 80s,God showed me that the Iron Curtainwould be broken. But it wasn’t enough toknow, or to say this was going to happen,God challenged me to do somethingabout it! I took me two years to planwhat we called our East/WestConferences, in Karlsruhe West Germany– and in 1988 four thousand came, manyof them from behind the Iron Curtain!How they got there was absolutelyincredible! On foot, by train, in brokendown cars, without visas... The power ofGod came down! I had to borrow theequivalent of half a million pounds tohold the conference – I was alone,nobody supported me in the vision – itwas a phenomenal step of faith. Iannounced God was about to melt theIron Curtain. That was impossible – thewhole of our military might was built onthe fact that we were going to have anuclear war with Russia. That was the ten-sion. We held the second conference in1989 and within days, the Iron Curtain inEurope had begun to break!

In 1991 and 92, we held two moreEast/West Conferences in West Germany.On the opening night in 1991, Godshowed me a picture. I saw Russia on theedge of a precipice. Russia was still undercommunism. As the first speaker in myconference, I referred to the vision. Onthe last day I had that same impression,so in my closing message I again spokeabout it. Within 24 hours there was aputsch, Gorbachev and communism inRussia finally fell.

I tell you this to show you that, because ofmy involvement with these countries,God has over many years given me aninsight and an understanding of what ishappening. God does not show me thingsthat will happen a long way off in thefuture... In this article and on p10-11, Iwant to share with you what God hasbeen showing me in these last few weeksand months, what is happening andabout to happen... Usually a prophet isspeaking today about something that isgoing to happen in the future. So theprophet on Saturday is prophesyingabout what is going to happen onMonday. But when God reveals it to me,it’s as if I’m already standing on Tuesdayand looking BACK and seeing it DONE!And in every case where I see this, thechallenge is: I have to ACT!

I’m not a ‘prophet’ in the accepted sense with words of knowledge, but people are at last beginning to realise that thethings which God has revealed to me over the years have happened and do happen. When I published the first edition ofthis magazine, Prophetic Vision, in Spring 1995, this is what I wrote: ‘God has given me a clear vision. It’s like looking downon a map. I can see the devil’s strategy, and I can see God’s strategy. This puts an awesome responsibility on us to ACT!'

Turn to p10-11: GOD REVEALS

We’re the largest evangelistic mission in Europe.Wherever I evangelise now, it is nationwide withthe support of the governments, and the openingday is a VIP meeting for an invited audience. InSeptember I was in Slovakia – members of thegovernment, MEPs, church leaders, influentialbusiness people – and they were repentingbecause I preached Christ. Everywhere I go, thesecular national TV channels broadcast us LIVE –even in Israel! Potentially every person in thenation has the chance to hear the Gospel!Christians are looking to the future, waiting forrevival. But I’m walking in the future now, we’reseeing things happen in Europe that have nothappened in two thousand years!

I want to be part of the prophetic action, I’m notpassive! If we believe in prophecy, if we believeJesus is coming, if we believe the Day ofJudgement is coming – suddenly – then we mustnot just sit down and wait, we’ve got to do some-thing! The church does not believe in the return ofJesus Christ! If it did, you would be out there win-ning people into the Kingdom! How can we let allthose people go to hell? The church doesn’tbelieve in hell, and if you don’t believe in hell, youdon’t believe in Heaven either. How little we knowof the truth today! There is no purgatory, there’sno second chance. There are not ‘many’ waysinto the Kingdom – only one! That’s why I preachChrist with such passion. Most people have noidea what hell is like. I do. If hell is half as bad asthe year I spent in a communist prison, if hell isworse than the Holocaust, I will fight with my lastbreath to save people from that hell. That’s why Ipreach with such emotion.

What God is showing me about Europe, Russia, theMiddle East – is happening NOW! But we CANhave an influence – we’re supposed to be saltand light in this world! When I was a boy I wasarguing with my father over predestination. Myfather gave me the simplest illustration. He said,“There is a father on the top of a cliff with his sonplaying football. The boy kicks the ball in thewrong direction and it’s going over the edge andhe’s running to save it. When the father sees this,does he predestinate his son to fall over the cliff?!No! He shouts out, his foreknowledge is stoppingthe boy going over the edge – “Don’t!” God seesthe future, and when God is speaking prophetical-ly, He is warning, “Don’t! Don’t fall off the cliff!Don’t go into hell!” But the world is going head-long over the cliff…

After I had started going into Russia, I heard theprophecy of Hudson Taylor, the great British mis-sionary to China. In 1889, preaching on furlough ina church in Britain, he had a vision, in which hesaw a great war that encompassed the world. Hesaw this war recess and then start again, actuallybeing two wars (1914-18 & 1939-45). Then he said,“After this I saw much unrest and revolts that willaffect many nations. I saw in some places spiritual

awakenings. In Russia I saw there w illcome a general all-encompassing,national spiritual awakening, so greatthat there could never be another likeit. From Russia, I saw the awakeningspread to many European countries.Then I saw an all-out awakening, fol-lowed by the second coming of Christ.”– Those two world wars happened,Hudson Taylor was speaking from God!And I have seen and been part of thatrevival in Russia… You don’t understand,I have been able to evangelise in thewhole of Russia from one side to theother! At one time we were reaching 80%of the nation on secular TV – with theGospel – and showing healings live onevery programme! Now I’m working inEurope, in Israel – but who are my keyworkers? – Russians! – Russians will bringthat revival into Europe. They have seenwhat God has done! I believe I am calledto see the fulfilment of Hudson Taylor’sprophecy.

What God reveals to me I am seeing ful-filled! That film we produced fifteen yearsago, ‘The Rape of Europe’, is now being ful-filled! In Europe they all know that the conti-nent takes its name from a Greek myth: awoman, Europa, raped by Zeus, the father ofthe pagan gods, having taken the form of abull. The Rape of Europe! Jesus and John referto this myth in Revelation 17, the woman onthe beast! Europe took its name from awoman who was molested and raped by afalse god! One of the symbols of Europe todayis this woman on the beast: wherever we havebeen in Europe, we have found this depicted instatues, paintings, on stamps, on the old ecucoin, and on euro coins in France and Greecetoday. But this rape is actually happening rightnow, in the days we are living in, at this moment– the fulfilment of what I said fifteen years ago!Look at the escalation of terror attacks! Look atwhat happened in France last November, look atthe millions of Moslem refugees pouring intoEurope!

What am I doing? I’m evangelising, saving peoplefrom the hell that is coming, stopping them goingover the edge. You cannot pray against prophecy.Much of what is happening now is foretold inScripture. You can’t change it. When God says it,it’s because He has already seen it. Jesus healedthe sick in order that the Word of the prophetmight be fulfilled – Matthew 8:17. His whole life,death and resurrection was a fulfilment of prophe-cy, the Word of the Lord fulfilled! – And I’ve seenthe moment when Christ comes back, when in desperation the people of Israel cry out to theirMessiah, “Oh that You would rend the Heavens andcome down!” – Isaiah 64:1. So what do I do? Mywhole life is to bring people to Jesus, to Messiah!

David’s Ministry to Russian-speaking Jews in Israel

On the first day of this 3-day celebration in Israel, David and hisdelegation were welcomed by prestigious members of theKnesset (the Israeli Parliament). They had been in session until 4o’clock that morning, voting through the Budget, failure to cometo an agreement on any of the 70 motions could have led to thecollapse of the Coalition Government. – And yet only a few hourslater, they came to meet with David. We were touched by theirwarmth and emotion. They too were touched almost to tears byDavid’s enduring love of Israel during all the difficult years since hefirst came in 1961, when he and his Christian tour buses were rou-tinely shot at by the Arabs in divided Jerusalem, and in Galilee,

from the Golan which they controlled. One member of theKnesset said, “In Israel, if you don’t believe in miracles, you are notrealistic!” Israel exists as a nation today only by the power of theWord of God, as written in Bible prophecy.

We were hosted throughout the day and into the evening bySenior Members of the Knesset, amongst others by: the DirectorGeneral of the Knesset; Dr Anat Berko, lifetime military expert andadvisor to the Government on counter-terrorism; and finally DaliaItzik, former Speaker of the Knesset and one time acting President.

During the preparation for the Saturday night alone, this is whatone of the Russian Jewish pastors wrote: ‘We will be taking 60buses packed with people to this special event that we haveorganised specifically so that people get a chance to hear theGospel and after the event, we will be taking everybody on aspecial biblical tour to visit some of the amazing sites where theGospel comes alive. Initially we planned to gather 500 people,and even that was a stretch for us, but the response was sooverwhelming that the number quickly grew to 800, and eventu-ally 1000 people – all non-believers! Imagine now, with over 1000people together in one place on one day, gathering just to hear

the Gospel for the first time in their lives! This is a recipe for a mira-cle and we expect God to do mighty things during this event.Many would say this is a sign of the last days, when people inIsrael respond so overwhelmingly to the call of the Gospel, espe-cially during such troubling days.’

Follow up and discipling is a vital part of the work the local con-gregations in the post-conference period. They bring the peo-ple, and they continue to minister to them afterwards! Oncethey hear the Gospel and receive Jesus, the fruit must be gath-ered and must endure. Please keep this in your prayers.

David said, “Come back to your God, the God of Israel. Yourhope is in Him, not in your military or your politicians! 137 timesyour Scriptures foretold that Messiah would come to suffer, morethan 200 times that He will come as King! I believe in the God ofIsrael who can forgive your sin and heal your sickness. What kindof man can forgive and heal? – Yeshua! He is the Son of God,He IS the God if Israel, He was born here, in Bethlehem, He grewup in Nazareth, He died on a cross in Jerusalem – and He’s heretoday! I want you to know Him!”

Sitting behind one of our Trustees was one Holocaust Survivor, itseems one of their leaders. At the end of David’s preaching, hewas calling out loud, “Thank you David, thank you!”

The opening night was transmitted live by Yes TV, the majorRussian language cable network in Israel. During the filming ofDavid’s preaching, their Stage Sound Director caught hold ofour TV Director, saying with big eyes, “What a strong man, whatstrong words – Israel needs to hear this!”

Both nights when David led the Prayer of Salvation in the Nameof Yeshua, the audience stood to pray. And there were shouts ofjoy in the crowd after the prayer for healing, with many signifyingthat Jesus had not only forgiven their sin, but touched andhealed their sick bodies.

For the first time in Israel, David was joined by Vinesong, JohnWatson’s international worship team. Their anointed music ush-ered the audience, and the internet and TV viewers, into thepresence of God, creating a platform for the effective preachingof the Good News of Messiah. As it was at the dedication of theTemple in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, it is the worship leaders who liftthe people into God’s presence – and bring God’s presencedown to the people. God needs to be present before Davidgets up to preach.

Vinesong sang in Russian, the language of the people present –and the words were displayed on the big screens. When thepeople saw this, the unbelievers understood and joined in theworship. Perhaps this is why the pastor who had brought the1000 people on the Saturday night, standing at the back,became aware during the meeting that an awesome break-through had taken place, greater than ever before!

Since 2011 David has been holding regular large events in Israelto help Russian Holocaust Survivors. With your help, in addition tobringing them the Good News, we also provide regular financialand humanitarian support. Russian Holocaust Survivors are oneof the poorest groups in Israel, rejected by many for not being‘proper Jews’ because of their Soviet heritage but yet Jewish

enough to go through the Holocaust. It is estimated that 20 per-cent of the population in Israel speak Russian. Russians often set-tle close to each other, forming Russian-speaking neighbour-hoods. Between 1990 and 2001, over 100,000 Soviet Jews settledin Ashdod alone, the fifth largest city in Israel. This is one of thecities participating in this great work.

When God showed me in 1986 that He would break the IronCurtain that had divided Europe between the communist Eastand the democratic West, He also showed me that time wasshort, that another curtain would come down across Europe inthree ways: by economic collapse, by spiritual force and bymilitary might. People didn’t like to hear me say this, but weare living in the fulfilment of it now.We are living in the last empire before Christ’s return; to under-stand this you must see my film, ‘The Rape of Europe’. TheEuropean Union is the feet of iron mixed with clay, the lastempire Daniel spoke of in Ch. 2:40-45, that will be fractured butremain until it – and all world empires – will be destroyed by thecoming of the Lord! The European Union is a fractured, dis-agreeing empire – it’s in chaos! Charlemagne tried creating aunited European Empire 768-814, Napoleon tried it 1799-1811,Hitler tried it 1939-1945. But although Hitler was defeated,almost every single thing about the European Union today wasplanned by Hitler! I’m extremely concerned.

World history shows that conflicting powers have always beenattempting to create a one world empire. Why didn’t

America join the allies against Hitler until the end of1941? Because between 1932 and 1939, theexpectation was that the next war would bebetween Britain and America! (See the Channel 5Documentary, ‘War Plan Red’ – war planned bythe Americans against the British Empire, thelargest world empire ever known, which spannedthe globe from the 16th to the 20th centuries.)The intended outcome was that the BritishEmpire would be dismantled, lose its colonies –and be replaced by an American world

empire. With the end of WWII,America oversaw the break-upof the entire British Empire; took

control in the Middle East (with itspetro dollars); and took

control of half of Europe by introducingthe Marshall Plan leading to the EuropeanUnion – which is the fulfilment of Hitler’splans – and now also includes the whole ofEurope since the collapse of the SovietEmpire! And with the collapse of the SovietUnion, America became the world’s ONLYsuper power! For a short time. Now this toois collapsing.

America doesn’t seem to understand histo-ry or different cultures. They believed that inAfghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Egypt and now in

Syria, that they could topple authoritarianregimes and set up Western-style democraticgovernments. When communism collapsed inRussia (with American manipulation), Russiaand America were talking about ‘democracy’– but Russia has no word for and no concept ofdemocracy, no understanding. It has alwayshad autocratic dictatorship! The Russians lovePutin! He’s a strong man!

America doesn’t understand the Middle East.Western policies in the Middle East since WWI

have done more damage to theChristian communities than

when they were subjugated

under the Turkish Islamic Caliphate and then under secularisedMoslem dictators! Now Moslems are seeking to restore theCaliphate we broke up in WWI – with a view to world Islamicdomination! They have determined to take Britain, America,Europe by jihad – by peaceful means or by war. All our mis-takes have played into their hands. The Moslem influence inAmerica is now tremendous, right up to the White House. Theysay ISIS has agents in every major American city and couldlaunch an attack any time. The latest report I had at the timeof writing is that ISIS is on the point of obtaining nuclearweapons.

But let’s come back to the Middle East and its significance.Biblical Babylon is in Iraq. It was first built by Nimrod to create aworld empire in rebellion against God – Gen 11:1-9. Then 2500years ago Babylon destroyed Jerusalem, the city of God, andtook all God’s people captive! The two key cities in Bibleprophecy remain Babylon and Jerusalem! What happened2500 years ago will be replicated in your life-time and mine!

When Britain and America invaded Iraq in 2003 to toppleSaddam Hussein, I watched on TV as the troops crossed theEuphrates to enter Babylon, Baghdad. God drew me toRevelation 9:13-15 where the four demons bound in the riverEuphrates are loosed. This is the only place in the Bible where aprophecy is tied so exactly to an hour, a day, a month and ayear! And those demon angels are loosed – to slay a third partof the population! In 2003 I wrote, in this magazine, that whenthe British and Americans crossed that river, I believed thatthose four demons were released. – This tribulation will contin-ue until the return of Christ! In Britain we have a governmentenquiry into that Iraq War. The conclusion is that all the prob-lems in the Middle East and with the Arabs today were loosedin that war in Iraq in 2003! Saddam Hussein was an evil man,but a strong man. He held the peace between the warring fac-tions in his country. The opposing Moslem groups, Sunni andShia, lived in peace. Christians could live in peace! Today theyare fleeing for their lives!

Look at the Arab Spring (fomented by the Americans, after2003, in the name of ‘democracy’). Look at Gaddafi whomthey toppled in Libya. Under Gaddafi they were so oil-rich,they had need of nothing! Today, like Iraq, there is no stablegovernment...

And Britain and America are on the wrong side in Syria!!! If wesucceed in getting rid of President Assad in Syria we will have arepetition of Iraq and Libya! I’m not defending Assad. Butshortly after the uprising began, British television interviewedhim and he said very strongly, “If I am defeated in Syria, if youdon’t support me, the whole of the Middle East will go up inflames!” He repeated that statement only a few months ago.This last Autumn I saw a BBC reporter speaking from Damascus,saying, “Assad and his family are westernised, he’s a secularleader of a religious sect. Under Assad, Christians were not per-secuted. Minorities were not persecuted. Here in Damascusthere is no persecution of minorities or Christians. But any groupwhich overthrows Assad will become an extreme religiousregime!”

Britain is supporting so-called ‘moderate’ Moslems opposingAssad. But out of that has come ISIS! Did you know, Al Qaedawas created by Bin Laden in 1988 – with the support of theAmericans?! Al Qaeda received American and Saudi funding– to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan! Can you realise,

today’s terror organisations have beencreated by us?!! ISIS has only come outof the chaos we Western nations havefostered! If we had not interferred in Iraq,in Libya and now in Syria, there would beno ISIS! We are actually creating the veryterrorism we set out to fight!

Putin is defending Assad. We in the Westare in opposition to Russia! But look howdangerous this is! – The real battle is nota public uprising against Assad, but awar across the whole region, Sunniagainst Shia. Shia supported by nationslike Iran, and Sunni supported by SaudiArabia! Russia is with Shia. We are withSunni. It seems that a lot of the atrocities,supposedly committed by Assad, wereactually deliberate acts to turn the Westagainst him. So the ‘Christian’ West hasentered into a vicious war which isbetween Moslem factions, Sunni andShia, and killing the indigenous Christians!

Two million people are fleeing the wars inthe Middle East – from Afghanistan,Pakistan, Libya, Iraq, Syria – intoGermany. Merkel is taking one million ofthem. And if Turkey will help control themigrant flow into Europe, the EU will allowTurkey free travel in Europe without visas!77 million! But who are the Turks? Whoare the migrants? Moslems. WhenMohammed moved from Medina totake Mecca, how did he do it? Not bywar, by MIGRATION! The Koran says everyMoslem who migrates from their home toanother country in order to bring Islamgets double reward in Heaven. Do youunderstand this mass migration? We arealready in the Tribulation, and the fourdemons released in 2003 were thebeginning of it. We are witnessing thebeginning of the rape of Europe! Onlythe true believer in Jesus Christ is savedout of the Tribulation.

America has failed to bring peace in theMiddle East. Now Russia has stepped inand is building an Empire with the Arabs.Why? To take over the control of thewhole region from the Americans! That’swhy he’s supporting Assad in Syria! Butthe British and Americans are WRONG inSyria, the whole of the Middle East isexploding in flames just as Assadwarned! We should have supportedAssad from the beginning. If we had,there would be no ISIS, no migration. Wemade a terrible mistake. We are in thehands of God, because we are living inthe fulfilment of prophecy.

And the next move from the Russians?This will happen in our lifetimes. To get

influence over the Arab nations, Putinand Russia will eventually be persuadedto destroy Israel – because that is theonly intention of Islam! Ezekiel 38:3-4 says,“Thus says the Lord God, Behold I amagainst you, O Gog, the chief prince ofMeshech and Tubal... I will put hooks inyour jaws and bring you forth... out of thenorth... together with Persia (Iran, Iraq,Syria), Ethiopia and Libya… against MyPeople Israel...!”

Before Christ’s return the Temple will berebuilt and the sacrifice resumed. TheOrthodox Jews have shown us they areready to do it (see my film, ‘The StonesCry Out’). Three groups – Orthodox Jews,Freemasons, Christians – all have aninterest to do it. The Jews have alreadyprepared everything for the sacrifice inthis new Temple. They are only waiting forthe red heifer so that it can begin.According to the Scripture, they WILLresume the sacrifices in the Temple.When the Bible speaks of the rebuildingof the Temple in Ezekiel 44:1-4, it says the‘prince’ will sit in it. We’ve alwaysassumed that would be Messiah, Jesus.But if they reinstate the sacrifice – itmeans Messiah is not there! Messiah WASthe sacrifice, He IS the sacrifice! Wedon’t sacrifice to Messiah! There is NOMORE SACRIFICE FOR SIN! So who will bein the Temple? – Who is this ‘prince’?Antichrist! Moslems believe in the returnof the 12th Mahdi, but the Koran alsotalks about ‘Isa’, Jesus... The Moslems saywhen this Jesus comes back he will con-vert the world to Islam! That’s their belief!But that’s NOT our Jesus! – Antichrist willsit as ‘prince’ in the Temple!

I’m warning you. The Orthodox Jews saywe are in the Messianic era. TheMoslems are expecting ‘Isa’ – their ver-sion of Jesus according to the Koran –any time! The battle is close. Jerusalem isthe problem. Read Zechariah 12:2-3, Joel3:2! ALL nations WILL come AGAINSTJERUSALEM.

The scene is set. The church is asleep.Take the parable of the 10 virgins, 5 wise,5 foolish – Matt 25:1-12. If these virginsare the church, thechurch is asleep andonly half get in theKingdom! I’m sorry tosay the ‘Church’ as anorganisation is not thesolution. God has toraise up people biggerthan the Church whoare one hundred per-cent on fire for God!

We’re here in Jerusalem to remember thebeginnings of the Church. The root of theChurch is in the Acts of the Apostles, not in theceremony of the Old Testament. The Church Iwant to be part of is the Church of the NewTestament which began on the Day ofPentecost. Jesus appeared to His disciples afterthe resurrection and in Acts 1:4 He said, “Wait inJerusalem for the promise of the Father whichyou have heard from Me. For John truly bap-tised in water...” Let me remind you that thisbaptism of John in water is a baptism of repen-tance by total immersion. Why? Paul explains inRomans and Colossians that we are buried withChrist in baptism – death! Christ went into thegrave and He rose from the dead! We are bap-

tised into water, symbolic of death with Christ,and we rise from the water into new life!

Jesus continued, “John baptised with water, butyou shall be baptised in the Holy Ghost... Youshall receive POWER after the Holy Ghost hascome upon you and you shall be My WITNESSESin Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and in therest of the world!” The importance of the HolySpirit is twofold. First, He is the endowment of thebaptism of POWER. Scripture is clear: after youreceive the Holy Spirit you receive power, liter-ally the power and the energy that motivatedJesus comes into us! But secondly, the purposeof this baptism is that we must be WITNESSES!

Under law, you can only be a witness ifyou have personally seen, heard orexperienced something. Not because ofwhat someone else has experienced. ButYOU! YOU must be a witness of what YOUhave experienced. Many years ago Iwas a pastor. But one day God chal-lenged me and said, “Stop talking, I’mtired of listening to you!” I was an evan-gelist, a preacher, ordained, degrees...But God said, “Forget all that. Go outand do everything you tell other peopleto do! And only come back when youhave done it!” For fifty years I’ve been‘out there’ doing it! Now I’m the witnessof what God has done! It has to beginwith a personal experience! When YOUreceive the Holy Spirit, it will revolutioniseyour life until YOU become the witness ofall that God has done!

What is my ambition? I’m an evangelist.In the fivefold ministry, the evangelist isthe last. And in the Kingdom, I’ll be thelast one to get in, because I’m so busylooking for the lost. My one desire as anevangelist, having received the Holy

Spirit, is to win the lost sheep! That is theburden of my heart!

When I entered the communist prison in1972, everything was taken from me. Youare STRIPPED, your clothes, everything.You are left with absolutely nothing.Naked. That is a powerful experience.You have NOTHING. Spiritually there hasto come a time when we go through thatexperience before we can go forward.Stripped of EVERYTHING. I found myselfwith the worst criminals. My best friendwas a murderer. Without his help, Iwouldn’t have survived. I shared a cellwith drug smugglers, every kind of crimi-nal. Then I understood the Gospel, thatfor God to love you and me, He had tosend His Son, STRIPPED of everything –divested – STRIPPED like I was in thatprison! He came with no extra power.Eighteen months ago I was in prayer,walking around a lake in Austria, saying,“Oh God, I want to live like Jesus, I wantto do what He did!” Now, before Jesuswent to the cross He said to US, “YOU willdo everything I have done, and more!”

Come on! How many of us are doingwhat Jesus did?! Let alone the greaterthings! I was walking around this lake,talking with the Lord. To me, praying isnot reciting set prayers, it’s a conversa-tion with an intimate friend who knows allyour inner faults, who doesn’t see youjust from the outside... My family do notsee me as an evangelist – I’m their dad!They know the real me! God doesn’t lookon your bishop’s trappings, He doesn’tsee the clothes you wear, He sees insideyour heart!

My experience with God is a very per-sonal one. I wouldn’t have survived inthe prison for one month, let alone ayear, if I didn’t have a very close relation-ship with the Lord. It was only 18 monthsago, walking around that lake in Austria,that I was saying to Him, “Father, I wantto do more than Jesus did!” It was thenthat I realised, Jesus did not come withall the glory of Heaven. He came as ababy, born of a woman. But don’tbelieve the pictures you see in somechurches! He didn’t stay like that, as ababy. My Jesus is a man, with power andauthority, who could bind and defeatthe devil, who could fight every battle, astrong man, who died and rose as theSon of God. But He came in humility, withNOTHING! Everything that Jesus had onearth He received through His relation-ship with His Father through the HolySpirit! Everything that I have MUST comefrom HIM! Not from my birth, not from myeducation. I don’t care if you are bornpoor, an orphan, a reject. Or born a king,a prince. What you are is NOTHING to dowith your clothes, or your office, NOTH-ING to do with your position. All you havewhen you go out into the world is whatyou have and receive in your heart!That’s all. It’s a very personal relationship.

…My other desire is this: to KNOW whoGod is. The Church doesn’t know Him!Religious ceremony is NOTHING to dowith God. I HATE religion with a passion,because religion turns people away fromGod. The world out there does not likewhat it sees, and I don’t like it, becausemy God is not like this. The God I know isa God of power, of love, authority, aGod who answers prayer, works miracles– that’s my God! My desire is to show THISGod to an unbelieving world! I challengeyou, YOU have to show an unbelievingworld who our God is! What kind of aGod is He? Is He the God people see inreligion? All dressed up – and emptyinside?! That’s NOT my God! I have aburning passion to show the world whoGod is really is. To show His power. That’swhy I want to see miracles of healing!How else will the world out there know?!What does the Bible say about Jesus? Itsays He was a man like you and me. Butanointed of God. By miracles, by signs,by wonders. We have to show a worldthat sees God as a religious figure – thatHe is a God of love, power, forgiveness, aGod of miracles! I’m emotional about it!But you can never do it because of yourclothes, your universities, your colleges,your religious education, your status…

I have seen university destroy the faith ofsome of my friends, including former pas-tors. Born again, strong Bible BelievingChristians! Baptised in water, baptised inthe Holy Spirt, went to Bible College,entered into full time ministry. But they letreligion take over. It destroyed everythingthey had and left them with only the for-mality. Oh God deliver us from that kindof religion. Oh God, give us Jesus! Thewhole of everything you can have andeverything you can want is only Jesus.There is no other name under Heavenwhereby men can be saved, only Jesus!No other name, no other power. I onlylive because He lives! I want to show theunbelieving world out there – whether it’sIsrael, Russia, wherever it is – I want toshow them the Son of God, Jesus, in real-ity! In my life! And YOU have to live likethat, until they see Jesus – in YOU. Notreligion. Not empty words. Oh God,shake us, change us! We need a baptismof FIRE! The Holy Ghost and FIRE! Until we

Church, ecclesia, means ‘called out andchosen’. The Bride of Christ will not be theCatholic or Orthodox Church, or theLutheran or Charismatic Church – theBride of Christ is called OUT! Out of theworld, out of religion... I don’t want to goback. I want to go forward – to meetJesus! And if you have met Jesus, you willwant to introduce Him to everybody else!You need to have a very personal rela-tionship with Him! It’s not Church, it’s notreligion, it’s Jesus! The only thing that isimportant is not how you dress up, it’s notyour office or your position, it’s your rela-tionship with Jesus, and how you shareHim with others!

My life and my ministry is to show whothe real Jesus is. I didn’t like the image Isaw in the church here in Jerusalem – awoman, ‘Queen of Heaven’, with a smallbaby on her lap, saints gazing adoringlyup at HER – do you realise the idolatry?Mary more important than Jesus?! Whocalled the disciples, healed the sick,raised the dead, died and rose again?Who said He would baptise them withthe Holy Ghost and Fire?! No I do notpray to saints and images, I only want toknow the MAN Christ Jesus, Son of theLiving God, who is the only Lord of mylife! Nothing, no one else!

As I flew in to Israel yesterday for thissummit, I had a song in my heart, ‘Inrobes of white I don’t deserve, I live toserve Your Majesty.’ Let’s live to serveHim and show the world who He is! Thesecret of my evangelism (we are draw-ing the largest crowds of unbelievers inEurope) is that they want what I have –my Jesus! I love Him! I live to serve Him.And in serving Him I shall preach theGospel. The coming of Christ is soonerthan any of you realise. I want you to beready when He comes! I charge you withthe simplicity of the Gospel. The GospelJesus preached was so simple. Not the-ology. Not religion. I only want to preachJesus. I’m an evangelist, I don’t wearfancy clothes, I only have Jesus. I want awhite robe – but I want Him to give it tome – when He comes.

I first started preaching in the churchwhen I was 13 years old. I printed flyers,invited the people in, got the musicians,preached the Word – and nobodyrepented. The only purpose of mypreaching was to bring men to Christ.Can you tell me any other reason forpreaching?! I went home disillusioned.My father, a great man of God, convert-ed in the Welsh revival, sat me down andsaid: “When the Holy Spirit is come, He –not you David, not you Bishops – He, theHoly Spirit, He will convict the world of sin,of righteousness, and of judgement. Shutup until you have received the HolySpirit.” From that moment I fasted, Iprayed – for three months. I learnt thebiggest lesson of my life: In the early daysof my going to Russia, the milk cart wouldarrive in the street, the housewife wouldtake her own jug, and they would fill itup. What did she take? She emptied thedirty water out of the jug, cleaned it, sothat when it was filled, it was filled withpure milk. If you want the Holy Spirit,empty everything out! If you want thesame baptism of Fire that I have, don’tcome half full of the world, the flesh!Clean yourself up first! Then God will fillyou. It will transform your life! I came hereto Jerusalem in 1961 because I still wasn’tsatisfied. I was a pastor, an evangelist,baptised in the Holy Spirit when I was 13.But I wanted more! Another baptism ofFire! And why do I pray now? – Because Istill want more Fire! Prayer is no formalityto me. I look at the desperate world outthere and I want more authority, more ofthe Fire and the Power of God.

Now look at the Church. The Church is theBody of Christ – and the Bride of Christ!God help you if a man gets married to agirl unless he’s in love with her! When Imarried my wife, she was in love with me.There used to be a beautiful song, ‘TheBride sees not her garment, but her dearBridegroom’s face!’ Yes, the Bride is beau-tifully dressed, but she’s only got eyes forthe Groom! – That’s how it should be withthe Church and Christ! Last summer I spent a couple of days with my brother – as aboy he was a mathematical whizz-kid, but not me! This is how Ifound myself, one evening, watching a programme on quan-tum physics with him. My brother dozed off and I was strug-gling to get my head round all this complicated stuff… Whensuddenly the eyes of my understanding popped open! I wasfully awake!

It was not so much what the presenter was saying, but whatGod began to say that entered deep into my heart…Scientists know how to change matter into energy, but no onehas ever yet discovered how to change energy into matter!Energy, the scientists say, can neither be created, nordestroyed. It has neither beginning nor end. Energy IS. God IS.His Name – I AM! God IS energy, He is POWER! One of the twowords used in the New Testament for God’s power is ‘energeo’– energy! God is the uncreated energy, without beginning orend, that created this whole visible and invisible universe!Wow!

Scientists recognise that the basis of ALL living things is a writtencode… Speech! God SAID and it was so! Everything, visibleand invisible, has been made out of God’s invisible, incorrupt-ible Word! Our Jesus – Who became flesh, died and rose forthe forgiveness of our sins – is the invisible Word of God – with-out beginning and without end – through Whom and forWhom ALL things in Heaven and on earth have been created– in Whom we live and move and have our being! Don’t takemy word for it. Read John 1:1-4,10,14! Read Colossians 1:15-17!And 1 Cor 8:6! Without HIM – JESUS – was not anything madethat was made!!! Wow! That’s POWER! Think about it!!!

How can I describe that night last summer, when I opened mybedroom curtains and in the deep velvet blackness, so close,so large, the full silver moon, as if God Himself had hung this silver disc within my hand’s reach! Wow! My God made that –out of nothing, only by His Word!

How can I describe the tubby sparrow that hopped onto mycoffee table on the banks of the Danube this last autumn, eyesdarting, breast beating? – I could have stretched out andcupped his life in my hands! Wow! My Jesus made that! And asI looked at all the people strolling up and down the riverside inthe warm sunshine, I wondered how Jesus, Maker of all, feltwhen He, as a man, saw and touched what He had made?!!I’m thrilled!

And as I think about these things, I’m struck by the tenderness,amazement and passion with which John and Peter wroteabout SEEING, HEARING, TOUCHING this Jesus, THROUGHWHOSE POWERFUL WORD ALL THINGS ARE MADE!!! This Jesus isnot like you or me, He’s not Mohammed, Buddha, or any otherreligious leader – He made everything! By the WORD of HisPOWER!

John, the closest disciple, says with emotion in His Gospel (John1:10), “The WORD was made flesh and dwelt among US! – WESAW HIS GLORY!” He writes to us in his letter (1 John 1:1-4), “Thatwhich was from the BEGINNING (of time, before Creation) – weHEARD Him, we SAW Him WITH OUR OWN EYES, we LOOKEDupon Him, and OUR HANDS TOUCHED Him, the WORD OF LIFE –WE HAVE SEEN THE LIFE and BEAR WITNESS, and we want toshow you that ETERNAL LIFE which was with the Father and wasshown to US! – We declare and write to you what we have SEENand HEARD, SO THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE FULL!!!”

And Peter, who was with John on the Mount of Transfigurationand saw Jesus in His Glory, was also passionate to leavebehind a true record, that after his death we would ALWAYS toremember these things, writing in his letter: “We didn’t followcunningly invented fables when we made known to you thePOWER and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were EYE-WITNESSES of His Majesty! We were with Him on the Holy Mountwhen we HEARD the Voice from the Majestic Glory, fromHeaven saying, ‘This is My Son in whom I am well pleased!’” – 2 Peter 1:15-18.

Back in the late 1990s I remember David was invited to speakin a church, a lovely church, here in the UK – to tell about thepower of God, the power that he has seen and experiencedall his life. The songs were about the power of God. The ban-ners in the church were about the power of God. AlmightyGod! But I felt sick and weak inside, because I sensed that inthis place, the people, and also I myself who had seen theincredible power of God so many times, were there empty –singing empty words…

I’ve thought a lot about that. Even as born-again, Bible-believing Christians, so often we believe with our heads. Yes, ofcourse we know God is Creator, He made everything. But inour hearts is a ‘worm’ that comes from our school days andfrom our godless, materialistic society in which we live. Thisworm eats away at our faith in the Word of God… Some bigbang… evolution… the heavy weights of life which crush usday by day… Even for us who ‘believe’, the reality of what weexperience in this world is SO strong… the Word, the Power ofGod seems SO weak in contrast… We read the Scripture, wesing the words, ‘Nothing is impossible!’ But in our lives, some-how, that’s not true…

But something happened inside me last summer. One morningI crossed the barrier from where it is ‘stupid to believe for theimpossible’ to where it’s ‘STUPID NOT TO BELIEVE FOR THEIMPOSSIBLE’! My son saw that moment. He read my eyes as Idid his – I had crossed over! And I’m not crossing back!

God planted the seed of this in my heart many years ago, in1991, when He said to me, “Do not attempt to work things out.YOU WILL BELIEVE IN THE IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE YOU WILL NOTQUESTION ‘HOW’ – I AM HOW!” – Wow! Finally! I am nearlythere…

…God has made and makes EVERYTHING from NOTHING, outof NOTHING, by the simple POWER of His WORD – the Holy Spiritand Jesus working together! God’s Energy, God’s Word! That’sHOW! What He says He does! Nothing, absolutely nothing isimpossible for God! How STUPID to think that it is! Yes, it may beimpossible for me – but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Hemade EVERYTHING!

I’ve been seeking God together with a friend who is fightingcancer for the fifth time. Ten years ago, God healed her by amiracle. Now here it is again. A challenge. The reason it’s easier to believe for small things is because our faith in God’sunlimited power is – well, extremely limited!!! It’s easier for us tobelieve for something as close as possible to the relatively normal… But Scripture is clear, and the whole evidence of ourvast universe agrees, nothing is too difficult for the energy, purpose and plan of God! How stupid to think there’s stuff Hecan’t do!!!
