ProMedica’s Continuing Medical Education Department Presents ProMedica Blood Management: Every Drop Counts Overview Topics for the first Blood Management conference have been selected by ProMedica Patient Blood Management medical directors, RN coordinator and blood management committee members. This conference will address gaps in knowledge between current practice and evidence based rational for a conservative approach to allogenic blood use. The conference will highlight key strategies such as optimizing patients own ability to produce blood and techniques used to minimize blood loss. Technologies aimed at blood conservation will also be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on appropriate use of blood products in medical care. Audience All physicians and residents, allied healthcare professionals, pharmacists, nurses, advance practice providers, laboratorians, and administrators who work within healthcare systems treating anemic populations.
