Selective Hand-held Optical Analyser for FTTx /PONsystems, optimised for GPON architecture.

Filtered and individualised measurements for eachwavelength (1310 for Upstream; 1490 and 1550 for Downstream).

Fibre Optic Networks

GPON is known as a fibre optic network that can managespeeds over 1 Gbps, using only passive elements.

GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) is the most usedtechnology in the applications where the optical fibre arrives tothe user ( FTTH - Fibre To The Home).

The user has an ONT device (Optical Network Termination) thatcommunicates to an OLT device (Optical Line Termination) inthe network. The OLT transmits constantly the Downstreamsignal, whereas responses from the users ONT are in the formof pulses.
