PROLIST Can we still afford the costs of this expenditure?

Questions to the equipment users:• Do you still type in your inquiry data for process control equipment into your

purchasing system by hand?

• Do you still send your inquiry to your suppliers by fax?

• Do you still enter the equipment data from the manufacturer’s catalog into your CAE system laboriously by hand?

Questions to the equipment manufacturers:• Do you still receive inquiries by paper (letter or fax) from each customer and

in a different form?

• Do you still have to enter the inquiry data into your systems manually for offer generation?

• Do you still send your offers away by fax or letter?

NE 100

The NAMUR Recommendation NE 100

• Version 1.0 (2003) contained 41 device specifications for– measuring instruments: pressure, flow, level and temperature.

• Version 2.0 (2004/2005) contains 62 device specifications for– measuring instruments (50): pressure, flow, level, temperature

and density,– electrical motors (2) and– actuators (10).

• The lists of characteristics of NE 100 conform to the relevant standards for characteristics (properties) and lists of characteristics (classes): IEC 61360 and ISO 13584.

PROLIST database

• The results of the activities for the NE 100, i.e. the device specifications, are entered into a database.

• This database was created and is financed as well as maintained by the Project Group “Lists of Characteristics” (PROLIST).

• The device specifications (specification forms) of the NE 100 beginning with Version 2.0 can be seen in and downloaded from the PROLIST database (without IDs and definitions).

• The unrestricted access to the PROLIST database have only the paying members of PROLIST.

PROLIST Standardization of the Device Specifications

• The created lists of characteristics are include in NE 100 (in German and in English).

NE 100

IEC 6xxxx

• The lists of characteristics of NE 100 conform to the relevant standards for characteristics and lists of characteristics: IEC 61360 and ISO 13584.

• The contents of NE 100 will be channeled into the international standardization process.
