Power Project (IPP), whose contract was awarded in November, 2008.
· Lagos Plans to Generate 3,000 Megawatts off Grid:The Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Olawale Oluwo, has expressed the commitment of the State Government to generate 3,000 megawatts off the grid, stating that they are working with

· Reserves rise by $589m in one month:The nation's foreign exchange reserves, the volume of money or other assets held by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), have recorded an increase of $589 million, after weeks of
consistent and gradual gains, despite demand pressure.
· Bol to disburse N300bn to SMEs by 2019:In furtherance of its commitment to the growth
of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the country, the Bank of Industry (Bol) says about N300 billion would have been disbursed to the critical sector of the economy by 2019.
· UBA secures $150mn credit line from AfDB:The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) have
signed a loan agreement worth $ 150 million to finance infrastructure and small and medium enterprises (SME) projects, including women-owned enterprises, in Nigeria.

· Ebonyi will generate over N6b from local rice soon':Going by the assessment of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ebonyi State would soon become a hub for local rice
production and supply in the South East and generating more than N6 billion yearly.
· Chinese firm to generate 15,000 jobs for sugarcane farmers:A Chinese commercial outfit, Lee Group, has established a sugarcane company in Kaugama Local Government Area of Jigawa that will generate 15,000 jobs for farmers and marketers.
