Project: “The expansion of the MGBEE Road”

The Project’ title was the “Expansion of the MGBEE road from “Orlu” to “Ideato South” including the anti-erosion works. The budget of the Project was 2.602.414.000 ₦ (12.333.715,00€)

My responsibility was the organization of the group of labors & the machines, in order to achieve the maximum productivity.

Brief Project Description: Construction of the drainage system (1m width & 1m height) on both sides of the road Connection of the drainage system to the river. Excavation of the extension of the road (double side expansion) Backfilling with laterite. Construction of the infrastructure of the road (30 cm of stone base)

Construction of the road demarcation Construction of the asphalt layer (5cm compacted)

Project: “Construction of underground intersections”

The Project’ title is the “The construction of the underground intersections along Owerri ~ Port-Harcourt Federal National Highway”.

The budget of the Project is 1.000.000.000,00 ₦ (4.347.826,00€)

The construction method used was the open trench method (CUT & COVER)

My responsibility was the organization of the subcontractors, the quantity surveying, the implementation of the Project according to the Ministry’s specifications, the guidance of the Company’s labor, the accomplish of the construction deadline.

Project: “Renovation of Company’s Estate buildings”

Brief Project Description: This is an ongoing Project considering the renovation of 9 houses. The target is the modification & the transformation to a mixed (Nigerian – European) modern style.

My responsibility was the planning of the works, the organization of the subcontractors, the quantity surveying, & the guidance of the Company’s labor.

The Cost estimation of the Project is 90.000.000,00 ₦ (360.000,00 €).

The Project’s deadline is on December 2016.

Project: “Asphalt Plant”

The Company owes an asphalt drum mix plant bought from the Indian Company Capious Roadtech Pvt. LtdThe model of the plant is the DM 60The capacity of the plant is lower 60tph & higher 90tph.

My responsibility was the planning of the infrastructure works, the montage of the plant’s elements & the setting according to the Capious instructions, as long as the running of the installation and the daily cost control.

Total cost of Company’s investment: 100.000,00 $

As Lead Engineer of Urban & Rural Road works, I was responsible of evaluating the citizen’s requests, scheduling & monitoring the daily plan using the Municipality’s fleet of heavy machinery (1 loader, 1 Crawler Excavator, 6 JCB loader backhoes, 8 trucks, 2 graders )

As Supervisor Engineer I was responsible for the onsite construction of the Public Projects financed by the Municipality. My additional role was to monitor the implementation of the quality tests and the inspection of the safety measures. I was also responsible for the Cost Control of the Projects & for the compliance with the Time-Schedule.

As site Engineer, I was charged of the construction of multiples urban road works executed by the labors and the machinery of the Municipality of Pyrgos. The projects were supervised by the Technical Department of the Municipality. The budget was ~ 750.000€

The Project’ budget was 24.000.000€

My role, as a member of the supervising team, considering the field works, was the daily monitoring of the executed earthworks & the concrete works (extensions of existing culverts & retaining walls), the monitoring of the explosions, the inspection of the safety measures, the control of the infrastructure construction, the implementation of the quality tests , the monitoring of the asphalt works & the control of the safety barrier installation works.

Considering the office job, I was the Lead Quantity Surveyor with extra duties as Cost Controller assistant.

The Project’ subject was the construction of the concrete structure of: The main work-shop of Kosmocar S.A. (2.200 m2 surface, 2 floors + 1 basement) at Elefsina The construction of EUROBANK ERGASIAS S.A. main office(4.300 m2 surface, 6 floors + 4 basements +

treasury) in Athens

My salary agreement was 1.800€ monthly

My responsibility as site Engineer was the daily scheduling of the works (frameworks setting – concrete casting – frameworks striping), the guidance of the craftsmen and the labors, the quality tests, the monitoring of the work progress.Considering the paper work, I was in charge of the Quantity Surveillance and the verification of the subcontractors payrolls.

The Project’ subject was: The construction of the athletes’ houses in the Olympic Village for the Olympic Games of 2004 in

My responsibility as Site Engineer – Foreman, was to monitor the works progress, to ensure the safety & the quality, and make sure that everything was executed according to the regulations and the instructions of the Olympic Committee.Considering the office work, my duty was the Quality and the Quantity surveillance.

This is my first attempt to work abroad, so I came to an agreement with a Greek Contractor who was planning to construct a quarry.

My responsibilities in Greece: I was responsible to choose the appropriate machinery, (1 crawler crane Hitachi of 40tn, 1 truck

Mercedes 2626, 1 vibrating screen). I was monitoring the construction of the screen, & the maintenance of the crane and the truck. I was trained to operate the crawler crane as drag-line I organized the custom-clearance, the shipping and the expedition.

My responsibilities in Chad I organized the custom clearance and the transport from Duala (the Cameroonian harbor) to

N’Djamena. I assembled the vibrating screen and I trained the mechanic, the operators & the labors.

My responsibility as naval Engineer was the daily measurement of the depth of the sea bottom, the scheduling and the monitoring of the underwater blasts, the guidance of the clamshells and the floating excavator,, the scheduling of the blocks positioning and the surveillance of the immersion.

The Project was the construction of natural gas pipe-line (PE) basic network of 4bars pressure, in the sectors 16,17,18,21,22,68,71,73 & 83 of Attika

The budget of the Project was 5.282.465€

My responsibility as junior site Engineer was the daily scheduling of the works (machines & labors), the inspection of the safety measures, the quality tests & the monitoring of the pipe welders.Considering the paper work, I was in charge of the Quantity & Cost Surveillance as well as the time-scheduling using Primavera software.
