Program within the Organization

Disaster Readiness is one of the many programs designed to help the public understand the importance of being prepared in the event of a disaster and how they can best care for their pets.

The Community and the ASPCA

Many Americans throughout the United States have pets but not everyone is fully educated on how to care for them.

The Result: Many animals left abandoned and dependent on non profit shelters to care for them.

The community needs the ASPCA because they have all of the resources needed to improve the animal abandonment and abuse situations in their area.

Critical Thinking, Critical Reading,Critical Action and

the ASPCA!Critical ThinkingThis organization best explicates critical thinking in that it gets people to think about what needs to be done to help prevent animal

abuse.

Critical ReadingThe ASPCA promotes critical reading by creating a News Letter that better explains what their mission is.They offer the ability to keep you updated on what is being done throughout the United States as well as any articles on local rescues.

Critical ActionThe ASPCA is constantly exuding critical action by working day and night to answer any animal abuse call. They also hold many events to help their rescues find loving homes.

The Shuttleworth Foundation

This is the ideal foundation to fund this non profit organization.

The Shuttleworth Foundation by no means an amble Organization. They are geared toward helping out foundations that want to promote change.

They can help the ASPCA continue their work. Because the ASPCA is considered non profit, they are a donation based association and need funding to continue their excellent work. Shuttleworth can can help them do this.

My Personal Connection

This is Burger, my Yorkshire Terrier.

Many dogs like him have been rescued from abusive homes.

Burger is a teacher who is very adept at educating children as well as adults on the best way to care for their pets especially his particular breed.

Because of celebrities who have exploited small dogs as accessories, they are in high demand and are bought without any thought as to how they will be taken care of.
