PROJECT STATUS

a. BSE Ltd., Asia’s oldest Stock Exchange has signed a MoU with GIFT City in January 2015 for

establishing their International Stock exchange.

b. NSE Ltd., India’s leading Stock Exchange has signed a MoU with GIFT City on February 2015 to develop

an International Standard Exchange and to start trading facilities in different asset classes.

c. SEBI & RBI board in the month of March 2015 and IRDA board in the first week of April 2015 approved

the operational guidelines on International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). These regulations for IFSC

would facilitate and regulate financial services relating to offshore banking as well as

insurance/reinsurance and capital market activities for various domestic and foreign firms at GIFT IFSC.

d. Shri Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Finance had unveiled Regulatory Framework for IFSC in India at a

conference on “Regulatory Framework for IFSC in India” on April 10, 2015 at Mahatma Mandir,

Gandhinagar in the presence of Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Gujarat.

e. Kotak Mahindra Bank, one of the leading private banks in India signed MoU with GIFT City on April 10,

2015 for setting up an IFSC Banking Unit for carrying out offshore banking related activities in GIFT

SEZ-IFSC.

f. National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEX), India’s leading online commodity

exchange has signed a MoU with GIFT City on April 16, 2015 to develop an International Commodity &

Derivatives Exchange at GIFT SEZ-IFSC. Through this International exchange NCDEX would tap global

commodity market.

g. GIFT City & Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen- Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of

Shenzhen has signed an Intent of Cooperation on May 19, 2015 for facilitating development of Smart

Cities in GIFT City, Gujarat, India & Qianhai Shenzhen- Hong Kong Modern Service Industry

Cooperation Zone, Guangdong Province in China.

h. Indian Commodity Exchange Ltd. (ICEX), a nation-wide screen based on-line derivatives exchange for

commodities, has signed the MoU with GIFT City on June 03, 2015. It intends to develop an

International Exchange, providing electronic platform for facilitating trading, clearing and settlement

of securities covering equity, commodities, interest rates, currencies, other classes of assets and

derivatives for International and domestic investors in GIFT SEZ-IFSC in GIFT City.

Infrastructure Development - Progress

Overall Vision: Roads in GIFT Project will be of International class and it is planned in a manner which will make GIFT a zero accident zone in the city.

Current Status: Up gradation of Access Road and the construction of 5 k.m. of sub-arterial Road is completed. Construction of Arterial Road awarded to Backbone Enterprises Ltd. and is under process.

Overall Vision: GIFT Project is zero discharge city; water will be drinkable from any tap. Storage of surface run-off & rain water will be done and the water infrastructure will consist of next class Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP).

Current Status: Construction of Raw Water Pumping Station (RWPS) and water supply transmission main pipeline to GIFT Zone from Narmada Canal-Completed. Works for WTP and STP have been assigned to M/s Voltas Limited. WTP (3 MLD) has been commissioned and STP (2.2 MLD) is completed. Consultancy work for framing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for GIFT Water Infrastructure Ltd. is completed.

Overall Vision: GIFT Project ensures 99.999% power reliability, which means outage of 5.3 minutes per annum.

Current Status: Construction power arrangement, works for street lighting on access road to GIFT Project, Web based LED Street Lighting system for the sub - arterial roads has commissioned. 66 kv Substation is commissioned by Blue Star. Consultancy work for framing of Standard Operating Procedures for the GIFT Power Company Ltd is completed. Techno-Economic Feasibility study for setting up Gas Based Power Generation Plant in GIFT City is awarded to Steag Energy India Pvt. Ltd. and same is completed. Centralized Distribution Substation work has been awarded to Rajesh Power Services Ltd. Design, Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning of 2750 kv, 11 kv Diesel Generator Set for backup power supply arrangement work has been awarded to Sudhir Genset.

Overall Vision: Create leading-edge infrastructure, services and platforms and offer financial services & IT/ITeS enterprises a significant competitive advantage to operate regionally and globally.

Current Status: Overall concept, master plan, high design of ICT services including Data center is developed by British Telecom and to implement the same, a consortium consisting of reputed agencies including Tata Communications, Newgen ITeS services & Centios (JV of Korean Telecom & Cisco System) has been selected to provide ICT services within GIFT City.

GIFT City offers always up & running IT infrastructure with 99.995% uptime . A state of art Tier IV Green Data Centre with a capacity of 900 racks is being inaugurated in by last week of August-15 . The Data Centre will provide various services like Public , Private & Hybrid cloud, managed hosting. Variety of solutions like IaaS ( Infrastructure as a services ), Paas ( Platform as a service ) & DRaaS ( Disaster recovery as a service ) will be offered from this Data Centre .

Entire GIFT City is connected with a fault tolerant optical fibre ring infrastructure . The connectivity in GIFT City is being provided by four major telecommunication service providers . GIFT City uses advances of technology in form of unique IoT ( Internet of Things ) based C-4 ( City Command & Control Centre ) to monitor and manage City Infrastructure.

ICT

Multi Level Car ParkingOverall Vision: Multi Level Car Parking (MLP) have been planned for systematic and efficient parking in GIFT City. There are 14 MLPs planned for facilitating 60000 Car Parks.

Current Status: GIFT city planned to implement a MLP (Capacity of 5418 ECS, estimated cost of Rs. 355 Cr.) on Design – Build Contract Basis. Tenders are floated. Work order issued for Civil & Plumbing Works; Work order will be issued shortly for Mechanical & Electrical Works. Construction work will commence shortly.

Samruddhi SarovarOverall Vision: Artificial water body of 1.2 km planned which will work as a 15 days water storage for the city and also use for the recreational and entertainment.

Current Status: The detailed design of Samruddhi Sarovar has been done by Halcrow Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. Design, Proof Checking and Project Management Consultancy services (PMC) for Development of Master Balancing Reservoir (MBR) in GIFT City is being done by TCE.

Overall Vision: All utility services except gas and sewerage from plants to various buildings will be routed through utility tunnel only. GIFT is planned to develop Utility Tunnel throughout city including DTA & SEZ areas.

Current Status: For first phase, work awarded to M. S. Khurana Engineering Ltd for construction of Utility Tunnel of 2.2 k.m. length in DTA is completed. MEP Tender awarded to Blue Star Ltd. Request for Qualification (RFQ) for construction of Utility Tunnel for Phase-II (4.5 k.m) is completed and RFP for the same is under process.

Overall Vision: Automated Waste Collection System (AWCS) and Segregation Plant is one of the unique next class infrastructure planned in GIFT Project. It will Maximize resource recovery / Minimal emissions, Minimize impact on environment, human intervention, space requirement, impact on health hazard and no waste visibility which will make city clean, green and healthy.

Current Status: Work assigned to Envac a reputed international agency from Sweden and construction work for Central Waste Handling Facility (CWHF) of 5 to 50 TPD capacity has got commissioned.

AUTOMATED WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM

Overall Vision: District Cooling System is introduced for the first time in India for any commercial use. The chilled water will be supplied till building level and it will reduce energy & maintenance cost, reduce noise & vibrations, improves air quality.

Current Status: Work assigned to ETA Engineers Pvt. Ltd. a reputed international agency from Dubai on EPC basis. First District Cooling plant having capacity of 10000 TR to support Phase–I development is operational.

Social Infrastructure Allotments

HOSPITALSterling Addlife India Limited, a leading Corporate Hospital Chain is alloted 0.25 mn sq.ft. BUA and is developing a state-of-the-art multispecialty Hospital of 200 beds in GIFT City. Design & Architectural Specification of the facility are under finalization, construction to commence shortly.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING CENTER Skill Development & Training Centre planned at GIFT City will provide skilled manpower with adequate knowledge in the Financial & allied Services.

Allotment has been made to Global Insurance Services (India) Private Limited for development of Skill Development & Training Centre at GIFT City. The Centre spread across 0.2 mn. Sq. ft. of BUA to be developed at an estimated investment of Rs.100 crore will be providing training in the areas of Insurance & related activities. Design & Architectural features are under finalization.

SCHOOLNarsee Monjee Educational Trust of Mumbai has been allotted 0.1 mn sq. ft. of BUA to develop ICSE School in GIFT City. School has become operational from June 2015.

GIFT ONEIt is office building located in Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) consists of 29 floor (122 mtrs). It is developed by ITUAL and constructed by L&T Ltd. The building consists of 12 high speed elevators and has next class building elevation & infrastructure.

“GIFT ONE” was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister-GOG on January 10, 2013 and is operational with leading Public Sector Banks, IT & Finance Companies occupying space in the Tower.

GIFT TWOIt is office building located in Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) consists of 29 floor (122 mtrs). HOTEL & CLUBTwo Hotels (4/5 star) are being planned in GIFT City currently and work for the same is expected to commence shortly. GIFT will also have India’s first Business Club. WORLD TRADE CENTRE (WTC)GIFT City will host Gujarat’s first World Trade Centre (WTC). Allotment is made to WTC Noida Development Company Ltd. for development of WTC at GIFT City spanning over 1.5 mn Sq.ft of BUA at an investment of around Rs. 1000 Cr for the development of office buildings and residential service apartment. The facility with ultra modern architectural features dedicated to financial & allied services will promote trade and business under one roof.

STATE BANK OF INDIA : OFFICE BUILDINGIn sync with the vision of GIFT City to develop India’s first Global Financial Hub, State Bank of India, country’s largest Public Sector Bank is setting up their operations at GIFT City. Allotment has been made to SBI for development of commercial facilities of around 0.2 mn Sq. ft. of BUA at an investment of around Rs. 150 crore to support their International & Domestic operations from GIFT City.

RESIDENTIAL TOWERAllotment made to two renowned developers B. U. Bhandari Projects & Sangath Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. for development of around 500 Residential apartments spanning over 0.55 mn Sq.ft. of BUA. The towers will accommodate the residential requirements for people working in GIFT City.

BSE BROKERS' FORUMAllotment made to BSE Brokers’ Forum for Development Rights of around 0.5 mn Sq.ft. of BUA for development of an Iconic BSE Tower for its members at GIFT City.

BRIGADE ENTERPRISES LIMITEDAllotment made to one of the renowned developers Brigade Enterprises Limited for development of Office Building of around 0.26 mn Sq. ft. of BUA in GIFT SEZ Area. LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA (LIC)In sync with the vision of GIFT City to develop India’s first Global Financial Hub, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) India’s Largest Insurance Company is setting up their operations at GIFT City. Allotment has been made to LIC for development of Commercial Building of around 0.2 mn sq. ft. BUA on April 04, 2015 at an investment of around Rs. 150 crore to support their International & Domestic operations from GIFT City.

M/S JANAADHAR (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED Letter of Intent issued to M/s Janaadhar (India) Private Limited for development of Affordable Housing Project of around 0.14 mn sq. ft. of BUA in GIFT City on January 28, 2015.

RELIANCE CAPITALIn sync with the vision of GIFT City to develop India’s first Global Financial Hub, Anil Ambani led Reliance Capital Limited (RCL), one of India’s leading private sector financial services company has been allotted 5 lakh sq ft of space on June 03, 2015. Reliance Capital will develop 3 lakh sq ft of Office space in the Processing area of GIFT SEZ and 2 lakh sq ft of Residential space in the Non-Processing area of GIFT SEZ for its employees at an investment of around Rs. 200 crore which would bring an employment of around 2500 persons.

Approvals & Clearances

a. GIFT Urban Development Authority (GIFTUDA) and GIFT Notified Committee constituted by Government of Gujarat (GoG) to act as single window clearance agency for the Project.

b. Building height clearance up to 122 mtrs for the entire Project received from Airport Authority of India

c. Environment Clearance for the GIFT Project received from SEIAA

d. Approval received for the Development Plan with 3.65 global FSI for the Project.

e. 30 MLD water allocated from Narmada Main Canal by SSNNL.

f. Mutli - Service SEZ over 261 acres, notified by Government of India (GoI).

g. Government of India (GoI) has accorded a status of International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) to GIFT SEZ in December 2011. First and only Multi Service SEZ with IFSC status in India.

b. GIFT City has been awarded with I.C.O.N.I.C. IDC Insights Award 2014 for Excellence in Innovation in Government Vertical by International Data Corporation (IDC).

c. GIFT Project is one of the 6 ventures of India that have figured in list of world's most innovative, impactful infrastructure projects by International Accounting Firm KPMG.

d. GIFT City has won the “e-LETS “ Award for its innovative City Control and Command Centre ( C-4 ) . GIFT City is the recipient of “Innovative solution for Smart Cities “, an accolade that recognizes stand-out organizational contributions in driving change through technology.

e. GIFT City has been conferred as “Smart City of Future” by Cisco Technology Award 2014.

f. Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) was selected as one of the world's 'Strategic Top 100 Infrastructure Projects' in 2014 by CG/LA Infrastructure Inc, a 25 year old US-based firm and in that won the most prestigious award in the category of 'Green/New Infrastructure Project of the Year'.

g. Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Limited (GIFTCL) was awarded as the 'Outstanding Concrete Structure of Ahmedabad-2013' in the category of 'Commercial Building' for GIFT ONE Tower Project at the 'ICI (Ahmedabad) UltraTech Award'.

h. Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) had got the Certificate of Achievement in 'Innovation in Utility Transmission & Distribution Infrastrucuture-2013 presented by 'Bentley Systems, Incorporation'.

i. Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Limited (GIFTCL) won the most prestigious award in the category of 'Best Industrial Development & Expansion' at the 'Infrastructure Investment Awards - 2012' organized by World Finance – A WN Media Group based in London.

Government of India had accorded a status of International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) to GIFT SEZ. It is the only Multi Services SEZ with IFSC status in India which would compete with global financial hubs like Singapore and Dubai and attempt to corner a share of the global financial services business and would bring immense benefit to the country in form of employment and increase in GDP for the Country.

Paving the way for creation of India’s first IFSC in Gujarat’s GIFT City, the regulators like SEBI, RBI & IRDA has introduced the guidelines for IFSC to create vibrant capital market activities, insurance/reinsurance business activities and to enable Indian and overseas banks to set-up their International Business Units (IBU) at GIFT City. All financial services relating to securities market, insurance/reinsurance business and banking operations in an IFSC will be regulated under the new IFSC Norms.

GIFT City has already signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with top bourses like Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE Ltd.), National Stock Exchange (NSE Ltd.) and National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Ltd. (NCDEX) for setting up their International Exchanges.
