Project Spotlight
Franklin & Marshall College Summer ProjectsTwo HVAC Projects performed simultaneously for a long-time customerLancaster, Pa.
Franklin & Marshall trusted James CRAFT & Son on these two challenging HVAC projects, which were performed simultaneously during the summer while students were off campus. Both jobs were estimated by Victor Vascellaro and managed by Jeff Ream.
Steinman College Center - HVAC Equipment Replacement:Our first challenge was disassembly of the existing HVAC equipment in the basement. It had to
be cut it into pieces and removed through a shaft 30 feet deep that we created from the basement up to ground level. The new equipment sections, custom made to fit down the same shaft, were then lowered and positioned into place, where our CRAFTsmen assembled and hooked them up.
Barshinger Center - Greenhouse Upgrades:The other project completed during the 2012 summer involved upgraded cooling and
conditioning capacity within the college’s greenhouse labs. James CRAFT & Son supplied and installed thirteen HVAC units that were custom-built with aluminum frames and cabinets. This prevents rust and corrosion on the equipment within the greenhouse’s moist environment.
