Dissemination SON Management
New SON functions
DemonstrationSimulation Requirements
Creation and implementation of an integrated SON management system which demonstrates:
• Improved network performance in line with the network operator goals
• Controllability of the performance trade-offs taking into account the operator priorities
• Reduced network management cost by enabling and simplifying the network supervision
• Improved network upgrade planning by defining large time scale network performance predictions
• First step towards cognitive network management in terms of adaptive SON function parameterization (re-) configuration
Project Key Achievements

Vision
Dissemination SON Management
New SON functions
DemonstrationSimulation Requirements
• Impact on standardisation: liaisons with relevant standardisation bodies and other fora, in particular 3GPP (RAN2, RAN3 and SA5), NGMN. Multiple contributions and direct Impact in several areas of 3GPP RAN standardisation
• Dissemination of project results through publications in conference proceedings and magazines, and presentations at conferences and workshops.
• Organisation of the successful workshop ‘Management Frameworks for Future Mobile Communication Networks
