Excavate, transport and disposal of 2,500 tons petroleum saturated soils on a site planned for multi-unit residential redevelopment. Soils left in place on site were treated in-situ prior to the placement and compaction of select fill. The site was restored to original grade and a temporary seed mix was applied to stabilize the area of disturbance between construction activities.

Provide waste profile preparation, transportation and disposal services for both hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated during a CERCLA remedial action. Over the course of 12 months, the following waste materials were transported and disposed: 2,100 tons of non-hazardous sediment and debris; 30 drums of non-hazardous investigation derived waste; 7 tons of characteristic hazardous waste soil: and 85 drums of characteristic hazardous waste groundwater. In addition to the above waste disposal activities, Clearfield MMG, Inc. recycled 550 cubic yards of land clearing debris and supplied crushed aggregates and select fill materials in support of the project.

CERCLA REMEDIAL ACTION WASTE TRANSPORTATION AND DISPOSAL

Segregate, inventory, profile and package waste paint related materials (PRM) in preparation for proper disposal. Consolidate compatible material types into UN/DOT shipping containers including the overpacking of 14 drums in un-shippable condition. Clearfield MMG, Inc. packed, transported and shipped 6 cubic yard boxes of high solids characteristic hazardous waste PRM, 1 drum of characteristic hazardous waste PRM, 3 cubic yard boxes of non-hazardous waste PRM, and 28 drums of non-hazardous waste PRM. The project was completed in 4 days and included two separate mobilizations at the request of the customer.

Provide recycling and disposal services in support of remedial actions at a former US Navy fuel farm. The following waste materials were managed over the 4 month project duration: 6,700 tons of non-hazardous petroleum contaminated soil; 1,025 gallons of non-hazardous oily water; 11 tons of recyclable steel pipe and other misc. scrap; and 465 tons of recyclable concrete. In addition to the above waste disposal and recycling activities, Clearfield MMG, Inc. supplied 4,400 cubic yards of select fill materials and topsoil in support of the project.
