The PMI Certifications
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is a global advocate for the use,
development, research, and education of the Project Management profession. They
offer certifications that are highly regarded across all industries. The two most popular
certifications are the following;
PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential is the most important
industry-recognised certification for project managers. Globally renowned, valued,
and often demanded, the PMP® certification demonstrates that you have the
experience, education and competency to successfully lead and direct projects.
This recognition is seen through increased marketability to employers and higher
salaries. According to the PMI Salary Survey — Sixth Edition, a PMP® certification shows
increases in salary up to 10% more than non-credentialed colleagues and peers.
Who should apply?
The PMP® certification recognises demonstrated competence in leading and
directing project teams. If you’re an experienced project manager looking to solidify
your skills, stand out to employers and maximise your earning potential, the PMP
credential is the right choice for you.

PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) is a valuable entry-level
certification for project practitioners. Designed for those with limited project
experience, the CAPM® certification demonstrates your understanding of the
fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project
management.
Whether you’re new to project management, changing careers, or a subject matter
expert on a project team, the CAPM® can take your career to the next level.
Who should apply?
If you’re a less experienced project manager looking to demonstrate your
commitment to project management, improve your ability to manage larger projects,
earn additional responsibility and stand out to potential employers, the CAPM®
certification is right for you.

at least 1,500 hours of project experience
