I ensured in using a mid-shot photo, this is because in my research I have noticed that only mid-shot photos are used on the front cover.

The kicker is on the artists for the audience to be able to make the link that the kicker is the name of the artist, also I used brown as the colour would appeal to both men and woman. I have ensured the kicker is large on the page so that it is easily noticeable.

The head of the artist is covering the title as this is conventional for music magazines.

I made sure the masthead was in black in order for it to stand out the most out of the page as it the magazines name therefore should be different from other writing.

I used artists such as Katy Perry, Ciara and Rihanna as they are usually the most pop singers in the charts recently and they are very famous and have a lot of fans therefore my target audience will be interested in the magazine.

I used the shape, like gridlines in order to align my text and ensure that I use the gridlines to support the balance of the text on the page.

I used brown and black colours for my text as they go with my photo and background.

Artists such as Beyonce, Enrique and Ricky would appeal to my target audience which is the reason why I have used these artists.

I have included a strap line for free tickets in order to grab the audience.
