Education

Project “Chetana”:

Adult literacy classes through M/s Pratham Education Foundation are in

progress in all the 25 centers in 10 peripheral villages covering 625 adults. The

programme has led to the beneficiaries acquiring basic reading and math skills.

A stakeholder’s meeting was organized with the beneficiaries of 3 Adult literacy

centers at Duvvada and the feedback on the programme was collected.

Uniforms, Sports equipment etc were distributed in two Gov. Schools in the

surrounding villages of VSP by Visteel Mahila Samiti (VMS).

Health Care

Medical Camp was organized at Pudimadaka village, wherein the medical

services like Dental, skin and general health were provided along with services

through “Nethrajyoti” eye care van as well mobile cancer detection van

“Sanjeevan” .Around total of 600 patients benefitted from the camp.

Artificial Limbs were distributed to physically challenged individuals

through VMS.

Action initiated to conduct Medical camp at Madharam Mines.

Environment

Project Green Visakha

2000 saplings plantation was undertaken under “Van Mahotsav” in different

areas of the township of VSP.

Skill Enhancement

Project “Shaksham”:

Vocational Training classes are in progress at Vadlapudi, Pedagantyada,

Gangavaram & Aganampudi RH Colonies, covering 320 unemployed youth &

Women. Fabric painting (20 beneficiaries) and LMV driving training (140

beneficiaries) Programmes have been completed. The tailoring, Beautician

course and beauty therapy courses are under progress.

Project “Kaushal”:

Skill development program for youth belonging to scheduled caste at

surrounding areas of VSP is taken up through Apparel Training Division Centre

(ATDC), Visakhapatnam .This program intends to train 200 youth in Garment

construction techniques and Industrial sewing machine operation. First batch

of Skill development programme has commenced.

Sanitation

One RO plants was installed under ‘Sujala Pathakam’ at Gottipalli village

in Anandapuram mandal of Vizag district. (Cumulative this year: 15)
