• In UK, carbon emissions of top 10% are 3 times greater per capita than those of bottom 10%

• Estimates do not include emissions caused by heating and maintaining second homes

• They are 8 times greater from car use; 9 times from international flights

• In India, top 1% pollute twice as much as rest of top 10%

Of all the competing ends we might pursue, addressing inequality must come first

High inequality = Bad inequality

It leads to unequal treatment of citizens and makes all other

goals so much harder to achieve
