London is also a cultural capital and a world centre for the creative industries. It is where digital and media start-ups thrive, and where internationally renowned museums and galleries (many of which are free) sit alongside independent cultural centres and small artist-run exhibition spaces that feature emerging artistic talent. Londons rich annual cultural calendar includes an array of prominent events, such as London Fashion Week, Frieze Art Fair, LIFT theatre festival, London Festival of Architecture and London Design Festival, to name but a few.

As a major transport hub, with its five airports, sixteen railway termini and high speed international connections, London is the perfect base from which to explore the rest of the UK and many of Europes finest cities and regions.

All six UAL Colleges are at the heart of their local neighbourhoods, so you will be perfectly placed to enjoy these dynamic communities and all that London has to offer.

What makes Camberwell so special? For over a century, this small College (1,600 students) with a big reputation has been at the heart of a bohemian community that encourages inventiveness, collaboration and curiosity. The College sits beside the South London Gallery in one of the citys most vibrant, urban boroughs a lively, friendly place brimming with artists studios. Come to Camberwell and you will notice a strong set of values of equality and fairness, of respect and tolerance, and a real sense of place and connection with the world around us. The College has an extensive range of professional workshops and facilities, including a Digital Media Centre, one of the largest printmaking centres in the UK, open access ceramic, wood, metal and plastic workshops, and various specialist darkrooms, processing rooms and photographic studios.
