We sat, we thought, we planned… A wonderful project was about to start… And finally, we did it ! A bit later, and as a first activity, we created and voted for our logo and we chose “It’s a small World” as our song. Many things have been happening since then: school visits to each others’ country, videoconferences among chil- dren, recompilation and play of tradi- tional games , We have also created an international cookbook , we have seen and applied different ways of teaching maths , we have used traditional stories in order to communicate even we did not say a single word. Hermes , our mascot, has been travel- ling around and carefully hosted at each school. His diary is now filled! A compilation of good practice and new learning is now gathered as well as a report of each working mobility. L’alumnat realitzarà nombroses activitats per conèixer diferents trets de la cultura dels països que han participat en el Projecte Co- menius. Alhora, comptarem amb l’auxiliar de conversa del centre: Heather Murray, per realitzar activitats de descoberta de la cultura del Regne Unit, el seu país d’origen. TRADITIONAL GAMES (Ed. The aim of the activity will be to guess the rules of the games and play them afterwards. Once upon a time, on a cold January of 2013, a group of European teachers met at Noáborg School, Reykjavik, Ice-land. We sat, we thought, we planned… A wonderful project was about to start… And finally, we did it!

A bit later, and as a first activity, we created and voted for our logo and we chose “It’s a small World” as our song. Many things have been happening since then: school visits to each others’ country, videoconferences among chil-dren, recompilation and play of tradi-tional games, We have also created an international cookbook, we have seen and applied different ways of teaching maths, we have used traditional stories in order to communicate even we did not say a single word.

Hermes, our mascot, has been travel-ling around and carefully hosted at each school. His diary is now filled!

hard!

At every Comenius visit, teachers have seen different ways of teaching mathematics in a visual and manipu-

lative way.

L’alumnat realitzarà diferents tallers on es treballaran les matemàtiques d’una forma més experimental i

lúdica. Aprendran jugant, motivats i sense adonar-se. Amb el joc és possible aprendre matemàtiques d’una

THEATRE PLAY: THE THREE LITLLE PIGS (Ed. Infantil i Cicle Inicial)

After watching the puppet play that Dollis Infant School created for the Comenius stories topic,

children will enjoy an out loud storytelling accompanied with puppets of the traditional English

story.

L’alumnat gaudirà d’una representació de titelles del conte tradicional anglès: “Els tres porquets”.

Ben segur que s’ho passaran d’allò més bé, escoltant parlar en anglès als personatges protagonistes d’aq-

uest conte tan conegut.

THE LANGUAGE PASSPORT (Cicle Inicial) An activity to get the children reflect on languages by exposing the multiple tongues spoken at school. Every child will create his language passport, a document in which pupils will be able to check how many languages can they speak and understand as well as the ones they wish to learn. http://weallsmile.yolasite.com/stories.php

Amb aquesta activitat l’alumnat comprendrà la diversitat de llengües que es parlen a l'escola. Cada alumne ha ela-

borat el seu “passaport de llengües”.

IT’S A SMALL WORLD (Ed. Primària) Throughout the two weeks, students will be singing and playing our Comenius favourite song “It’s a small world” during

the music lessons. They are going to try to sing it in other languages apart from Catalan and English. Indeed, the oldest

pupils at school will play it with the flute and other musical instruments. See what the song is like in all our languages!

Durant la V Setmana Cultural, l’alumnat aprendrà a les classes de música la cançó del Projecte Comenius: “It’s a small

world”. Aprendran a cantar-la en diversos idiomes i a tocar-la amb la flauta.

FINAL SHOW (Ed. Primària) All in one. The Comenius farewell party. You are welcome to join us! Bob and Lila, our giants, will be also pre-

sent, listening while we sing and play with instruments “It’s a small World”.

El proper dijous 28 de maig a la tarda, celebrarem la festa de cloenda de la V Setmana Cultural.

Aquest acte vol ser un punt de trobada per agrair el treball realitzat per totes les escoles participants en el Pro-

jecte Comenius: “We all smile in the same language”, projecte plurilingüe europeu de referència.
