An American Elegy Frank Ticheli (1958-Present)
Written in memory of the students who lost their lives in the shooting at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999 and to honor their survivors.

This work was inspired by the people and events surrounding the battle of Culloden, Scotland in which more than 1800 Scots, Irish and English perished in less than 30 minutes. The battle took place on April 16, 1746.
