TRANSCRIPT
Our vision, as the Mathson Institute of
Technology, is to develop students who
are academically successful, technology
proficient, as well as ready to learn,
lead, and compete in an increasingly
global and digital world. Students will
develop the ability to use technology to
analyze, learn, and explore; promoting
a college career path in STEM.

Mathson Institute of Technology Implementation 2014-2015
Objective
Provide an opportunity for MIT students to
engage in Cross-Curricular Project Based
Learning to foster their abilities to be
technology developers rather than consumers.
Thereby bridging the gap that exists digitally
for our students and community.
Mathson Institute of Technology Technology Camp
Project Based Learning (PBL)
3D Modeling• Students designed solutions to address the drought and
explored ideas for future computers
• Troubleshooting• Students learned about the inner workings of computers and
how components go together
• Web Design• Students created their own web pages showcasing cross-
curricular projects
• Coding• Students learned the basics of computer programming
and created their own mobile game application
I'm interested in technology because in technology, there's endless possibilities. I like the fact that I can do almost anything I want, just with knowledge and skill.
Alvin Vo, 8th Grade
Technology is fun because you can create your own ideas using your imagination. Also you can learn a whole different language which is html. NOW that is cool because you can be typing and people might not understand what you are typing about because it is a different code/language. Technology is also very cool because you can build stuff with just working with simple things. TECHNOLOGY IS FUN.

Student Take Aways
The program has shown me how a computer is similar to the human brain. For example, a computer can create a 3D object just like our minds.
Ethan Le, 8th grade
It increased my interest by teaching me about the computer components by taking apart a desktop and a laptop. I learned about the school's internet and how it works. I also learned how to install a new printer and about the motherboard.
