Certificate of Progress Program (COPP)
CERTIFICATE OF PROGRESS PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
The Certificate of Progress (COP) Program consists of four phases. Each phase in the
program must be completed, including the receipt of course cards and certificates of
completion, before a student can advance to the next phase. Upon completion of the fourth
phase, the student will be issued a Diploma of Christian Education.
The objectives of the Certificate of Progress Program are to:
1. Increase biblical knowledge;
2. Create an understanding of the Baptist Church;
3. Provide and educational structure that will develop candidates qualified
for teaching and leadership positions;
4. Provide incentives for the candidates to complete the program; and
5. Produce trained church leaders.
Please note special scheduling for COPP classes. Please direct all questions concerning your
enrollment in COPP to the Dean’s office. All COPP students must be registered as a
delegate to the Congress.
