PROGRAMME OUTLINE
The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) concluded a two day workshop on “Integrating Governance with Environmental & Societal Responsibilities” in Goa on 3-4 June 2019.
Program was organized by School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs at Goa.27 Senior Professionals from 25 Companies (PSUs & Private Companies) participated in the Program.
IICA Designed this two days workshop for the purpose of enhancing the capacity of CSR Committee
members, and other CSR professionals for placing interventions in the development of CSR Policy and an
effective implementation plan which is impact driven. Program aims to help them governing the affairs in a
strategic manner for further contributing it to the corporate governance of the company in line with the
global best practices.
The Course emphased on Governance being an integral face to Good Corporate Responsibility and covered
the following dimensions:
- Economic aspects of Sustainability & Social responsibility
- Developing frameworks and Designing Policies & Systems
- Key Governance and Strategies Challenges
- Integrating CSR with process of Business value chain
- Strategic Decisions and Implementation for creating high Impacts
- Effective monitoring and Evaluation.
-Registering and communicating impacts effectively
-CSR and sustainability reporting, Integrated reporting
Program was delivered with the mix of faculty from IICA as well as Industry Experts for making it more
experiential and interactive.
The pedagogy of the program was based on class room sessions, experiential learning, case studies and
evidence based learning for helping those seeking answers to the challenging questions and aspects.
PROGRAMME FLOW
The two day workshop on Integrating Governance with Environmental & Societal Responsibilities” was inaugurated with the theme address of Dr. Niraj Gupta, Head, School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy, IICA.
Characterized by interactive sessions, presentations and case studies, the programme was facilitated by Dr. Nayan Mitra, Founder Director – Sustainable Advancements, Shri Bobbymon George, Head
Assessment – Satva Consulting, Shri Prathmesh Raichure, Executive Director Climate Change and Sustainable Services, Mr. Nirbhay Lumde, Head CSR, CGI and Dr. Niraj Gupta, Head, SoCGPP. The programme was concluded with closing session & remarks with certification ceremony.
