The choice of theme for this year’s ANZAMconference, Managing in the Pacific Century, hasonce again created a space in which we can applyour scholarship in diverse ways.

The high quality and breadth of papers submittedfor review is testimony to this. The resultingprogram with its 16 streams for papers,complemented by the professional developmentworkshops, ensures you will have the opportunity toengage with a wide range of approaches.

The keynote presentations by Professor Anne Tsuiand Professor Kulwant Singh will provide importantforums for us to engage further with the theme withthese internationally renowned scholars.

Keynote SpeakersAnne S Tsui is Motorola Professor of InternationalManagement at the WP Carey School of Business,Arizona State University, and concurrently,Distinguished Visiting Professor at the GuanghuaSchool of Management, Peking University.

A Fellow of the Academy of Management since 1997,she was the 14th Editor of the Academy ofManagement Journal (1997-1999) and has served onthe editorial review boards of most premiermanagement journals.

She is the founding President of the InternationalAssociation for Chinese Management Research, and isthe Editor in Chief of the journal Management andOrganisation Review, which is dedicated to publishingChina related management and organisation research.

Dr Tsui’s current research programs include employmentrelationships and corporate culture and leadership infirms operating in the Chinese setting.

Professor Kulwant Singh (PhD, University ofMichigan) focuses his research and teaching onbusiness strategy and competition in rapidlychanging environments.

He has published this research in the Academy ofManagement Journal, Strategic ManagementJournal, Organisation Science, Journal ofManagement, Industrial and Corporate Change andothers.

Kulwant’s most recent book, Strategy for Success inAsia was published in 2005. He was Chief Editor ofthe Asia Pacific Journal of Management between2000 and 2004. He was conferred the ResearchAchievement Award in 1997 and the OutstandingEducator Award in 2005, both by the NationalUniversity of Singapore.

Two of his papers received Best Paper Awards at theAcademy of Management and at AdministrativeSciences Association of Canada.
