S.J.S. Engineering was set up in 2000. Since then, a team of experts inthe design of maritime works and infrastructures has offered a widerange of integrated engineering services.

The Company’s main offices are in Rome; however, there are twoadditional branch offices. The Company was entitled a UNI EN 9001-2008 Quality Management Certificate.

SJS Engineering Team is composed of 11 engineers and architects, 5technical experts plus administrative and clerical staff.

A group of external Experts supports the Company in the mostchallenging projects. All our external experts have cooperated with usfor a long time, enriching the project with their technical and scientificexpertise and contributing to the creation of our well-known qualityprocedures.

The experts composing our highly-specialized Team pool their skillsand the resources made available by the Group: thanks to thisintegrated approach, SJS Engineering s.r.l. has achieved importantgoals both on the national and international level. SJS Engineeringworks in close contact with major logistics and ground and seatransport companies and with one of the major Italian oil companies.

The Company also has two Branch Offices based in Moscow andCheboksary with a mixed Italian-Russian team. They hold thenecessary partnerships to operate in the Russian Federation, both forconstruction and design activities and for preliminary investigations.

THE PROJECT:

The former Boarding School for Deaf Children wasconverted into the local section of the Court of Appeal,National Criminal Court and Lecce Law Court. Totalarea:10.000 m2;

The existing building was reinforced and completed.New buildings were constructed. Structured cabling fortelecommunications and data transmission and otherpower and water networks were also installed;

Construction of courtrooms, archive facilities, aulamagna, National Criminal Court Room, civil and criminaltrial room, 4 entrance halls, library and conference room;

The façades of the buildings were re-designed using acombination of curtain walls, metal façade cladding,metal ventilated façades, tensile structures. Thebuildings are connected via suspended walkways.
