SAP hat die Verfügbarkeit folgender Produkte auf HANA on Power

angekündigt:

• SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7

• SAP SRM 7.0 EHP3

• SAP CRM 7.0 EHP3

• SAP BW 7.31 oder höher (seit 21.08.2015)

und einige andere Produkte

• Ratio Core:RAM für HoP

Bei Nutzung der Power E870 und E880 kann jetzt für BW on HANA

on Power 50 GB pro Core verwendet werden. Dies ist ein riesiger

Vorteil gegenüber anderen Plattformen. SAP BW Umgebungen auf

x86 HANA haben eine Core:RAM Ratio von durchschnittlich 1:16

und nur für neuesten Haswell Prozessoren gilt 1:24.

Damit sind pro SAP BW HANA LPAR maximal 4,8 TB und 96 Cores

unterstützt auf E880 sowie 4TB und 80 Cores auf E870.

Für E850 und die S-Modelle gilt weiterhin 32GB/Core.

bis zu 4 dedizierte Produktionsumgebungen oder

bis zu 3 dedizierte Produktionsumgebungen und 1 shared Pool

• SAP HANA, Version für IBM-Power-Systems-Architektur, erfordert SLES

11 SP4 für IBM Power.

• HANA SPS11 Platform Edition ist jetzt für HoP verfügbar; zum selben

Zeitpunkt wie x86!

Power Servers:

POWER8 andPOWER7+ servers allowed

No restrictions with regards to the maximum memory per HANA LPAR

core

The minimum core count per HANA LPAR is 2.

HANA LPARS can be run in a shared processor pool running with a

performance penalty

Standard Network Components are admitted.

SAP HANA LPARS for test, development and quality assurance systems

may run in parallel to other LPARs (for SAP HANA or other purposes) on

a single physical Power Server as long as none of the participating

LPARs runs a production SAP HANA system.

Besides xfs also NFS, GPFS and ext3 filesystems are supported.

• Das ist eine Kriegserklärung an Oracle: Bestehende Kunden erhalten

S/4 HANA für 9000 Euro, müssen aber in die In-Memory-Datenbank

HANA investieren. Der ultratiefe Lizenzpreis gilt auch für Kunden, die

noch R/3 einsetzen.

9000 Euro: Genau so viel kostet die Lizenz für S/4 HANA für bestehende

Kunden.

Bestehende SAP-Kunden, die auf S/4 HANA migrieren wollen, erhalten

also für den symbolischen Betrag die gleichen Funktionen und Lizenzen

für die gleiche Anzahl User wie ihre bisherigen Systeme hatten.
