The PROJECT
Part 3 Section 4 describes the PROJECT as:
The PROJECT contains restoration activities for refurbishing, enhancing and/or adding components . . . while also accomplishing the additional needs of the environment . . . Restoration activities under the PROJECT may include, but not be limited to: stormwater treatment areas, flow equalization basins, reservoirs . . . as contained within the District’s Restoration Strategies Regional Water Quality Plan, Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan and Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Plan.
Which consists of:. . . design and construction management of various restoration activities further described as being similar in nature but not limited to high and low hazard embankments and levees, associated canal excavation/bank stabilization, stormwater pump stations, control structures, spillways, bridges, monitoring systems, communication . . . and control systems . . . the associated features of grading, paving & drainage systems and electrical facility improvements . . . including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscaping components, . . . Refurbishment/retrofitting of existing facilities, rather than design of new facilities, may be applicable to any of the restoration activities listed above
