Community Developmental Activities:
1) As secretary general of Cairo University council of community and
environmental development from 1999 to 2002, founded and
supervised the Cairo university program that consisted of 12 convoys
aiming to develop populated areas and villages within Giza governorate
including area of northern oasis.
These convoys included 750 students and 150 Faculty members from
Cairo University, and number of officials, employees, businessmen and
public figures from the Giza governorate department.
Such convoys included the following activities:
Combating illiteracy convoy
Rural women development convoy
Computer skills development convoy
Raising health awareness convoy
Raising environmental awareness convoy
Cleaning and decorating convoy
Medical convoy
Veterinary convoy
2) Chairing the Giza schools contest since its establishment in
2001 till present. That contest aims at raising public awareness of
students and teachers, and encouraging them to take part in activities
of cleaning and decorating their schools. The contest encourages the
engagement in national contests on different extra curriculum artistic
sportive and literary activities, and in connecting Giza schools
students to their immediate neighboring districts in the manner that
helps developing such districts.
Developmental Activities of the Department of Political Science:
As Chairman of the Department of Political Science have led efforts aiming
at:
Revising and improving the BA Courses Program in
Cooperation with the Ford Foundation along highly reputed
international standards adopted by famous universities in North
America, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia and South Africa.
16 required BA courses have already been developed. Other
programs of teaching assistants capacity building, monthly
academic seminars on cultural approaches of studying politics
have also been carried out during my chairmanship of the
department of Political Science, Cairo University.
