D e s c r i p t i o nThe A 400 relays have 4 double make / double break change-over contacts (form Z). The plug-in design offers secure locking features for maximum ease of maintenance (no wires need to be disconnected or other hardware removed for relay inspection or replacement).

Positive mechanical keying of relay to socket is built into the relay and socket during manufacturing and terminal identifications are clearly marked on an identification plate which is permanently attached to the relay.

Arc fault monitoring

D e s c r i p t i o nArc fault protection for fast clearance of arcing faults on BUS bars, within metal clad switchgear and associated cable boxes. The arc is detected by using an optical sensor & the signal input to a protection device which also monitors the load current on the system. A trip signal can be achieved in less than 10 ms using arc detection only or within 15 ms when using overcurrent check. This is considerably faster than a traditional IDMT overcurrent relay & provides additional protection from the onset of arcing faults with relatively low fault currents.

D e s c r i p t i o nTest links are an important accessory for protection, metering and control panels. They enable test technicians to isolate protection relays quick and safe, test signals and system performance can be veriefied.

There are a number of advantages in performing injection tests at the protection relay panel:

D e s c r i p t i o nThe XT function and time relays are equipped with time setting by a potentiometer and multifunction relays with up to 10 functions. The XT-timer relays cover a wide range of applications. The XM-relays range covers several models of monitoring and measuring relays. Voltage or current monitoring, 1-phase or 3-phase monitoring of phase failure, phase sequence and asymmetry. Status indication by colored LED.

Contact ratings up to 16 amp, to control external relays or switches that perform the heavy load switching. The XT- and XM-relays have modular housing and are suitable for 35 mm rail mounting.

D e s c r i p t i o nThe NSP arresters are a wide range of Type 1, Type 2 and combined arresters.

They are used for lightning current equipotential bonding and elimination of switching surges that originate in power supply systems entering the building. Type 2 surge arresters are recommended for use at the boundaries of lightning protection zone 1 and for equipotential bonding and elimination of transient over voltage that originate during atmospheric discharges or switching processes.
