The Producer, generally considered the chief of staff, is the person with a vision of what the movie should become. they take story ideas and turn them into profitable cinematic films. More than this, they are given control over the entire production and are ultimately held responsible for the success or failure of the motion picture. Producers are involved with the project from start for finish.
• selecting a screenplay/ screenwriter• secure finances• bring together members of the creative team (director,
cinematographer, casting director...)
• approve location, cast, script, schedule, budget...• consult with director, actors, photographers• deal with finance, marketing, and distribution companies• generally insure that things run smoothly
The Producer would be the person who accepts the Academy Award for best picture, should the movie win one.

The casting director
The roles of a casting director include finding the talent for the production that is being made. The casting director does a lot more then you think. She/he has many responsibilities in the making of a production. The casting directors have to have a cast that not only are good for the individual roles but that
works together as a group. They create the auditions and they also contact the agents and actors to tell them of the roles. They manage to assemble huge cast and they also manage
contracts and deals with agents/actors

The Special Effects Designer
• The Special Effects Designer is the person who creates the ideas for the special effects and puts them into action on the set.

The costume designer is responsible for design, fitting, hiring, purchasing, etc. They also take care of the jewellery, footwear, and sometimes wig-work.
The costume department is divided into two “wardrobes”. The “Making Wardrobe” is the designing of the costumes in the pre-production. The “Running Wardrobe” is the organizing and maintenance of the costumes during the production.

Is in charge of the actor’s make up. They are essential; they are the ones who make the actors really look their part. They’re the ones who make that bruise look real, that black eye look painful and Arnold Schwartzeneggar look like there’s a robot underneath his skin in Terminator.
A Make up artist’s work is at it’s best, when it is never really noticed.
In the make up department, there are four jobs…. Depending on the film and the budget cut.-Key Make up artist-Make up artist-Make up assistant-Make up effects artist
The Key make up artist is in charge of created the desired look, hiring make up artists as needed, sets schedules and budgeting. They also most times set appointments for actor’s who need special contacts or dental effects

Assistant CameraThe First Assistant Camera also known as the Focus
Puller. It is responsible for:– Keeping the camera in focus as it is shooting.– Building the camera at the beginning of the day.– Taking it apart at the end of the day. – Thread the film when a new magazine is loaded.
The Second Assistant Camera also known as the Clapper/Loader, is responsible for:
– Operating the clapperboard at the beginning of each take.- In charge of overseeing the meticulously kept notebooks. – Oversees organization of camera equipment and transport of the
equipment from one shooting location to another.

The Gaffer
The gaffer is the head of the Electrical Department, responsible for the design and execution of the electrical distribution and lighting plan for a production. Sometimes the Gaffer is credited as Chief Lighting Technician.

The Grip
• Grips are lighting and rigging technicians who work under Key Grips who have two main functions, the first it to provide camera support. The second is that they help operate camera dollies and camera cranes.

• A sound recorder is in charge of recording audio such as dialogue and sound effects.

What do they do?
• Usually the sound editor works his magic during the post production part of the project. They usually eliminate background noises that is not needed and they will also add background music to add the mood of the scene. They also try to sync the actor’s voice with the scene.

• What a sound mixer is, is when someone puts the sound into the movie. They add in music, some of the sound effects. Some of the format that they have to consider is stereo, surround sound, and mono. Also doing some diolague replacement.
