Typically the main production company’s logo is shown at the beginning of a film and trailer. The logos are used typically to advertise the company and link the film shown with others they have done in the past. The logos aren’t simple they usually are quite complex and may have their own 10-30 second clip with synchronised sound, rather than just showing a picture of the logo. However this isn’t the same for all and especially in film trailers the clip is even shorter or they do just show a still image of the logo. When creating mine I need to ensure that it is unique and different to others that are used. I need to ensure that the design is not overpowering and is quite clear, incorporating all key elements of a production company logo whilst fulfilling it’s purpose.

One some the key feature is the image in the background, on others the key feature is the name.

Logos are sometimes just the initials, others show images with relation to the name

Some are quite complex yet others are vey simplistic

Are quite iconic and each is unique making it link only to one company.
