Dimension Films is a production company which is currently part of the Weinstein Company, founded by Bob Weinstein. All films that were released by Dimension prior to October 1st 2005 are still property of Miramax Films, since Miramax Dimension has released films such as the Halloween horror films, Scream slasher flicks and The Amityville horror and this is why I chose this company as a candidate for production of our film, because of their high profile repertoire of horror and thriller movies.

Lionsgate is a Canadian- American founded in 1995 by Frank Giustra. Their first box office hit cam in the form of American Psycho (2000) then they had success with films like Affliction , Gods and Monsters, Dogma, Saw. It entered into a partnership with Relativity Media for the 2010 film Kick Ass.it has made thriller movies and horror movies like; Saw, The Last Exorcism, and American Psycho. All of these movies are gritty and really real and I think that is a good quality to have in a thriller movie and so I would choose Lionsgate as my production company.

The company name come from the four original Warner brothers—Harry, Albert, Sam, and Jack, who emigrated from Poland. On April 4, 1923 Warner brothers was first name Warner Brothers Pictures, Incorporated in 1960. Warner Bros. claims 1905 as its founding date. From looking at this company, I found out that they do a lot of thriller movies and horror movies and so we would be able to use them as our production company as they have a history of doing thriller movies but they have better history for horror due to there wide target audience, and this would mean that our film would be able to reach a wider target audience and in turn make us money which- is ultimately what all films are aiming for. They’ve done such thriller movies as Inception, The Dark Knight, and The Shining.
