Placement Instrument Kits

Omni-Tight Placement Instrument Kit Basic Dental Implants’ Placement Instruments are logically arranged in the sequence used during placement. The Instrument Kit contains all instruments necessary to place and restore Fixed, Denture Stabilized, and Midi Implants. Placement instruments for Threaded Abutments and Bolt-Retained Abutments are available separately and are not included in this kit.

Add-on Packages expand the Omni-Tight® Implant Series by allowing you to customize your restorative options. Add-on Packages are ordered in addition


to the Implant Package. Some components are available separately. Implant Packages – Denture Retention Our Denture Retention Implant Packages allow the laboratory and clinician to fabricate an O-ring retained prosthesis over a standard implant. The Denture Retention Package includes the following components: Ball Post, Delrin Ball Core, Titanium Ball Core, O-ring Cap, and O-rings. Denture Retention Kits are available as complete implant kits. (See Implant Kits Section - Pg. 3)

Threaded Post and Core Abutment While not a true implant package, the Threaded Post and Core Abutment expands the versatility of the Omni-Tight Fixed Restorative Implant Kit by replacing the cemented Post and Core with a Threaded Post and Core Abutment. This component is modified if necessary for draw and height and screwed to place using the Threaded Abutment Driver (Available separately). An impression is then taken and a crown or other prosthesis is fabricated. This gives the clinician a greater degree of retrievability if it is so desired.

Bolt Retained Post and Core Package For dentists interested in the more conventional UCLA-Type screw-retained restorations or various overdenture designs, B.A.S.I.C.’s Bolt Retained Post and Core Package is the answer. The larger diameter bolt retains a post and the restoration can be customized with a waxing sleeve. The Bolt Retained Post and Core Package includes: Bolt, Bolt Retained Post, and Waxing Sleeve.

Midi Narrow Implant Series Our Midi Implants were designed specifically for denture retention. Unlike our OmniTight® Implants, our Midi Implants are a one-piece design which incorporates an O-ring retaining ball machined onto the top. This minimizes the components and steps necessary. A 1.8mm pilot hole and a 2.3mm sizing Osteotomy Drill are used to drill a channel 1/2 to 2/3 of the length of the implant. The aggressive threads on the implant are 3mm in diameter providing good immediate fixation in the bone. The platform of the implant flares to 3.5mm.
