Market Diversity

WORLDWIDE OIL DEMAND Setting The Stage for Alternative

Fuels

Energy Security – Demand

Analyzing the World’s Largest Vehicle Markets:

Country Population Vehicles China: 1.3 billion 85 million Unites States: 310 million 254 million

Cars Per Citizen: China: 0.07 or ~ 1 to 14.2 United States: 0.82 or ~ 1 to 1.2

If China’s automotive adoption were ever to equal that of the U.S., they’d have more than one billion (1,000,000,000) automobiles registered

Alternative Fuel Fantasy…?

Fuel Costs: – Reduced by 30 to 40% – Positive ROI with or without government incentives

Origin – 97% from North America

Performance – Same horsepower, torque, towing capacity – No impact to payload / storage space

Service – Same warranty coverage – Same diagnostic equipment

Refueling – Third most-commonly available (behind gas & diesel) – Lower cost infrastructure than any other fuel

Emissions – 24% reduction in GHG – 20% reduction in NOX

WHAT IS PROPANE AUTOGAS?

Clean. Domestic. Abundant. Safe.

Background

Discovered in 1910 – Dr. Walter O. Snelling

First used as an engine fuel in 1913

Composition – Propane = C3H8

– Gasoline = C8H18

Sources – 60% from natural gas refining – 40% from petroleum refining – 97% from North American sources

Propane Autogas – Around the World

Most widely used alternative fuel in the world today – Over 17 million vehicles powered by propane autogas – Consumption is up 60% since 2000

High concentration in certain countries – Korea, Russia, Turkey, Poland, and Italy account for 53% of global

consumption

Share of autogas in total fuel consumption, by country:

– Turkey = 18% – US = 0.1%

Propane Autogas – Around the World

Number of vehicles on the road (autogas) – Turkey = 2.4 million vehicles – Poland = 2.3 million vehicles – Korea = 2.3 million vehicles – Italy = 1.7 million vehicles – Russia = 1.3 million vehicles

Australia – Every third vehicle off Ford’s assembly line is propane autogas powered

Turkey – More propane autogas sold last year than gasoline + diesel combined

What is Propane Autogas?

America is a net exporter of propane: 2 Billion Gallons/year

Propane GAS Act

Currently in House and Senate – H.R. 2014 – S. 1120

Extends Key Incentives for 5 Years – $.50 / gallon tax credit – 50% credit off the incremental cost to convert a vehicle – 30% up to $30,000 credit off the cost of infrastructure

ICF International Study Found:

– 30,000 to 42,000 new jobs will be created by 2016 – Up to $29 billion in economic activity over 10 years – Lower our nation’s dependence on Foreign Oil

Other Propane Applications

Commercial Mowers – 1,040,000 commercial propane customers – Less downtime because of greater operation on high ozone days – Reduced fuel spillage – Reduced maintenance costs – Longer engine lives

Forklifts – 670,000 forklifts operate on propane in the nation – Consistent power – Refuel in 5 minutes – Lower maintenance costs – Can work both indoors and outdoors

Agriculture – 81,000 agriculture propane customers

Home Heating – 6,880,000 households heating with propane

Cooking – 47,000,000 propane grill users

TESTIMONIALS: Real-World Feedback From

Real-World Customers

Case Study – SuperShuttle Industry: Airport Transportation Location: Phoenix, AZ Vehicles: 35 Ford E-350 Passenger Vans By The Numbers:

– 10,000 fewer gallons of gasoline / van / year – 300,000 fewer lbs of CO2 / van – $14,500 reduction in fuel costs / van / year

“The switch to propane autogas was the smart thing to do. We are seeing tremendous fuel savings right now. Gas prices in Arizona are averaging $3.65 / gallon [in mid-April, 2011]. Our drivers who are using public propane refueling infrastructure around Phoenix are paying $2.20 per gallon.” - Ken Brooks, National Purchasing Manager
