But it doesn’t stop there, we are also renowned manufacturers of furniture for the education, leisure and health care sectors, reception furniture and shop fittings and produce postformed and laminated fabrications for a multitude of other industries.

All our products are produced at our factory in Bristol using modern facilities, state of the art CNC technology and our highly skilled and experienced workforce.

Bristol Panel Formers is one of the leading manufacturers of cubicles and washroom systems in the country.

Finished products are then delivered direct to your site at an arranged time to meet your deadline.

It’s the fine detail that counts In many cases we are able to visit site and our experienced design planners can advise on layout and sizing and will produce detailed, dimensioned drawings as a cross check with the site and as the basis for our instructions to the workshop. This process largely takes place in 2D CAD and also serves as a detailed record of each component of your washroom installation, enabling quick updates or detail changes to be made as the work on site proceeds.

In recent years, we have seen the drawing office expand and clients have benefited from this fresh

approach. The drawing office provides the link between the site and our production facility for the most effective communication.

None of this technology is of benefit without our skilled and vastly experienced team who are able to start from a clean sheet of paper or survey of an undeveloped site and progress the job through all approval stages and on to complete installation.

Cubicle Range

KTS Training, Bristol

AnthraciteOur most popular range of cubicles featuring anthracite grey PPC fittings that are tried and tested and last for years in even the most hard-working environments.

The panels for the Anthracite Cubicles can be made in either compact laminate or HPL faced MR chipboard with a 2mm PVC finish to all edges.

The compact laminate is waterproof, very hard-wearing and is also chemically resistant and so it can even withstand the atmosphere near swimming pools.

The HPL laminated cubicles provide a cost effective and stylish alternative in dry areas where vandalism or heavy wear is less likely and so greater use of face fixings is an option resulting in a less industrial look.

These cubicles are supplied with a range of fittings that are through-bolted or face fixed, depending on the material type chosen, made of heavy gauge aluminium and are polyester powder coated for maximum strength and the longest performance possible.

Cubicle Range

ArgonThe curved aluminium fascias of the Argon cubicles teamed with a choice of compact laminate or HPL laminated panels ensure a stunning but original effect will be achieved.

There is a selection of metallic powder coated finishes to choose from or the fascias and cubicle fittings can be powder coated to co-ordinate with your own preferred colour scheme.

The fascias can either be supplied on legs or can extend to the ground while the panels can retain their usual ground clearance or can be lowered and overpanels supplied for increased privacy.

TalismanTalisman is a versatile and contemporary, fully framed system that allows the cubicles to be tailored to fit the space exactly. The cubicle fittings are teamed with compact, solid grade laminate panels to make it very suitable for areas of high traffic, where a robust system is required.

The overall height of the cubicles can be varied by reducing the amount of ground clearance below the panels and the unique headrail system allows for additional panels to slot in above the cubicle doors for additional privacy, up to 2500mm high if required. This does provide a solution where anti-ligature furniture is required.

AtmosphereTo address the demand for additional privacy in cubicles we have introduced the Atmosphere cubicles, which can extend closer to the floor and nearer to the ceiling than other cubicle systems.

Cubicle panels can be made from CGL Compact laminate or HPL faced MR chipboard with PVC edges, depending on the environment and performance required. Doors can be full height with additional hinges or they can be supplied with fixed over-panels.

ThriveThrive children’s cubicles can be made in a choice of materials depending on the wear and tear they will be subjected to or the budget available.

The doors and pilasters can be shaped and reduced in height to suit the ages of the children who will be using the cubicles. For older children the doors can be shaped at full height to maintain privacy but still offer a friendly look.

SolitaireThe most stylish effect can be achieved by keeping all the doors and pilasters in line by rebating the edges for a flush finish.

The rebated panels are teamed with satin stainless steel fittings for an understated elegance and a washroom that will become a meeting place!

Solitaire cubicles can be manufactured from CGL Compact laminate but the most striking look has the doors and fascias faced with HPL laminate and at a very chunky 38mm thick.

OptimusThe premier range of cubicles teams postformed pilasters and headrail infills with stainless steel fittings for a truly striking but elegant style.

Panels have a moisture resistant core with HPL laminate on the surface that is postformed to frame the door. Door and partition edges are lipped with matching 2mm PVC to offer a high quality finish that is impact resistant and a pleasure to handle.

The panels are teamed with stainless steel fittings that have been selected for their minimalist elegance, the quality of the finish and the proven mechanisms. They are fully adaptable for disabled use with the addition of thumb-turns to the bolts.

Cubicle Range

LumosThe latest addition to our range is the Lumos cubicle. This uses both satin and polished anodised finished on the aluminium fittings.

The bolt is mounted on the pilaster rather than the door with a lever that closes over the door with a satisfying click. Lumos is suitable for HPL laminated or CGL Compact panels.

ThriftyWhen the budget is very tight - we have the answer! Thrifty cubicle panels are cut from MFC boards which have a decorative finish on each face and are lipped on all edges with 2mm PVC.

Thrifty cubicles are teamed with satin anodised aluminium cubicle fittings.

Cubicle Range and Shower Areas

EllipseEllipse is a recent addition to our toilet cubicles range. The fittings have a polished, anodised finish for a durable but stylish performance. The distinctive shapes of the indicator bolts and pedestals on the front of the cubicles are perfect in areas where a striking effect is required.

Ellipse can be teamed with HPL laminated panels or Compact laminate panels to ensure the best-suited cubicles for each individual situation.

Shower AreasWall panels for shower areas are made from the same solid grade material as the shower and solid type toilet cubicles.

Creating a narrow duct behind the showers serves to conceal all pipework and the joins for the panels are set out to fall behind the partitions, thereby creating a seamless and easily maintained surface which is impervious to water. Panelling shower areas in this way puts an end to blackened groutlines and the walls have a cleaner, warmer feel.

The same compact material can be used for divisions and seats within the shower cubicles, forming a dry area. Free-standing bench seats can also be manufactured with compact laminate lathes and powder coated mild steel frames.

Vanity Units Vanity units match the colour of the cubicles supplied but can be made in a choice of styles, from various materials and including different features so that they best suit their purpose and location. Typically vanity units are made from MR MDF faced with HPL laminate but they can be made from CGL Compact laminate or the tops can be supplied in Corian or other solid surface material.

The tops can be made to suit inset basins, semi-countertop basins or, if the materials they are made from is waterproof, under-counter basins. They can also be seamlessly fitted with Corian basins.

The height of the units can be lowered if they will be used by children or increased in height if they need to match the height of a cistern casing.

Vanity Units for Inset BasinsOur most popular unit, allowing for the maximum amount of worktop space around the bowl and giving scope to include the widest choice of inset basins of various shapes and sizes.

Worktops are typically 600mm deep.

Compact vanity unitsVanity units made from compact laminate are completely waterproof and are very hard-wearing. They are used extensively in schools and public toilets but also where their waterproof nature is most important, such as where under-countertop basins are required or in shower areas.

Vanity units for Semi-Countertop basinsWhere space is at a premium, vanity units can be reduced in depth and used with a semi-countertop basin, while still maintaining access to the traps and pipework that are concealed behind the unit.

Worktops are typically 320mm deep with the basins projecting.

The compact laminate is cut and polished and assembled using KD fittings for ease of installation on site and is available in variations for inset or semi-countertop basins. The black edge of the compact laminate is always obvious but this can become a design feature with a more industrial look.

Vanity TopsIn some circumstances it may be be decided to install the basins in vanity tops but not to install the unit underneath. This can be done by fixing the tops to the wall and sturdy Hebgo brackets can be supplied.

Corian tops at Islawrffordd Caravan Park, Barmouth

Corian® Vanity TopsFor the most deluxe of finishes Corian and other solid surfacing materials can be used. This results in a top where the colour goes through the material and it can be seamlessly bonded to offer almost endless possibilities for shaping to allow curves and built up sections that are not possible to achieve in laminate - if you can imagine it then you can probably create it with Corian®.

Vanity units can be factory fitted with vanity bowls that are seamlessly jointed to the worktop, either in a contrasting plain colour or made to order in the same colour as the vanity top itself (where available).

The Corian top sits on a laminated unit so that the pipework is concealed but the focal point of the unit becomes the material of the top itself.

Vanity units for sit on basinsThe vanity unit can be made as a piece of furniture on top of which the countertop basins can sit, with the plumbing disappearing through the top to be hidden away in the unit beneath.

Alternatively a duct can be formed with a capping on top to form a void through which wall mounted taps can be plumbed.

Reduced height doors allow adult supervision whilst providing privacy for the child, with either square or arched heads to the doors.

Doors can be fitted with magnetic catches and handles instead of indicator bolts for the very young. Partitions can be full height to match

the pilasters or can be reduced in height and shaped for a child-friendly environment.

All indicator bolts have an external, emergency release and the hinges leave a gap to prevent any trapped fingers.

Vanity Units

Furniture In response to the demand for robust and durable furniture for schools, Bristol Panel Formers custom build furniture to any specification including classroom storage units, reception desks, IT suite furniture and tables.

Baby Change UnitsBaby change units are very similar to vanity units but with an additional detail added to the postformed edge to help ensure that a baby won’t roll off of the edge of the top. (It cannot be guaranteed that the edge detail will be sufficient to stop a baby rolling over the edge and therefore a baby should never be left unattended at any time while elevated on a changing unit).

Tops can be made in HPL laminated MDF with a postformed front edge detail or in Corian for a seamless front edge detail or, if the budget is tight, an anti-roll bar can be screwed through the top.

Wall PanelsA wall panel system can be made to suit any situation and to serve any purpose, whether the environment is wet or dry, whether access is required or not or whether in public areas or infection controlled environments.

Bristol Panel Formers manufacture panelling systems to suit a wide variety of locations - from school toilet areas and leisure centre shower rooms to hospital wards and retail outlets. Whatever your specific requirement there is a panel solution to suit.

Duct CasingsWhere access to cisterns and pipework is required a duct access system is required. This would be supplied as a fully assembled and laminated sub-frame with a stack of panels (usually 3 panels high) already hung onto the frame.

The frame would be set out to suit the site sizes (usually following a site survey) and would be assembled with a separate frame and stack of panels for each WC cubicle or urinal or vanity unit.

This attention to detail ensures an easy installation on site - all that is required is a softwood grounding around the perimeter of the duct so that our sub-frames can be back-fixed into place.

Panels are secured with Nylon, non-corrosive, drop-on clips that allow panels to be lifted off for access to the duct.

Panels can be supplied in solid grade / compact laminate or in MR MDF faced with HPL laminate and finished with a matching 2mm PVC lipping.

Hospital Duct CasingsBristol Panel Formers manufacture many ducts for hospital and health centres. These can include hinged panels with locks fitted for easy access to test the water system. Typically all the vertical edges are postformed, even on the frame where return ends are required and can be arranged in stacks of 3 or 4 panels

BenchesThese sturdy benches use a PPC powder coated, mild steel frame to which compact panels are bolted to match the changing area or washroom in which they are required

The bench frames are designed to be used in free standing situations or around the perimeter walls and can include back rests and coat hook rails or can just include a wall mounted frame for a simple and cost-effective seating solution.

DDA AdaptionsAll cubicles and vanity units can be adapted for use by ambulant and chair-bound disabled people, or can be enlarged for parents and children including outward opening doors and grab rails.

Increased depth cubicles can be manufactured in accordance with DDA regulations, where space allows.

Doc M packs can be supplied within cubicles for use by disabled people.

Reduced height legs are available where added privacy is required.

Building RegulationsEvery public building is required to include an ambulent disabled cubicle. This must be at least 800mm wide with an outward opening door and, must include grab rails and a clear space of 750mm between the WC pan and the front of the cubicle.

No site laminating or building frames required and no site fixing of panels. All ducts are supplied pre-assembled.

Instead we are happy to produce your final product from any suitable laminate material, giving you or your designer the greatest scope to achieve the ultimate look.

Alternatively we will offer advice and supply colour charts for those materials that are best suited to your job for the most cost-effective solution.

We offer laminates from all the main European manufacturers including Polyrey, Trespa, Formica, Abet and Arpa.

LockersOur secure locker systems use pre-drilled aluminium extrusions and moulded shelves to encapsulate 6mm compact laminate side and back panels.

Simply tell us what configuration you require, with the option of 1,2,3,4,5, split 2 and 3 door configurations.

Built in sprung hinges provide a high level of security and safety. Doors are bonded and mechanically fixed. Unique frame design eliminates the danger of “finger traps”.

All internal corners are angled for ease of cleaning and maintenance.

A choice of cam or coin return locks available.
