In this position you will be responsible for design support, development support and manufacturing support of ideas, concepts or products that will meet our manufacturing, safety, quality, compliance, cost and marketing objectives. Perform product testing and documentation including the writing of product performance specifications and test plans. Prepare technical data, product documentation and initiate requests for model making and testing services. Position involves close coordination with manufacturing, marketing, product design and customer base. Working knowledge of the design/manufacturing of various products made of metal, plastic, wood, ceramics, glass, textile. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Think creatively to develop ideas that can be protected by patents. Ability to correctly tolerance parts for form, fit and function. Perform/specify the required testing for design and performance verification. Ability to work on and coordinate multiple, global projects.

Offer

• Master degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering or related fields.

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in product.

• Proficiency in 3D CAD is required. SolidWorks highly desirable.

• Design experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

• Working knowledge of product design and manufacturing of various materials is required.

• Experience working with overseas manufacturing plants and vendors is preferred.

• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation methods.
