• 100 words (spoken) is approximately 30 seconds

• “Man on the Street” is an effective style but complicated

break for students to learn traits, hobbies, and skills from

qualified volunteers. Classes vary from drumming…

Spirit Week 2010 gave students a chance to show
their school spirit. The week ended with pep
rally where students had the opportunity to
show case their talents and Bengal Pride.

Spirit Week took place January 19-22. On Tuesday,
students kicked it off with decade day.

Wednesday was Wacky Tacky Day, Thursday was a
student favorite- Pajama Day, and Friday was
Bengal Pride day.

The BMC fall sports pep rally was full of
entertainment and fun.

The Shriner Shine Run has many opportunities
for community service hours, and provides you
and your friends a chance to just have fun at the
park. Everyone is encourged to participate.
In other news: Volunteers are needed for the
Reedy River Run on March 1- 6. Volunteers will
be needed to help with registrations, course
monitors, and other various things. See Ms. Belt
to sign up.

Sirrine Scholarship ranges from $200 to $2000
and is renewable for up to 4 years. This
scholarship is based on finaincial need and

The Heartland Hospice is looking for reliable volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for various things such as paperwork,
crafts and cards for patients, household chores like painting or
lawn care, or patient visits. Details at Front Desk.

The 2010 Beta Club convention went very well. Students competed in various
competitions, and for the first time… Brashier Middle College placed in the
competitions. It is the first time BMC has placed at the state level.

Often we take water for granted. We have easy access
to clean drinking water, there are many people who
don’t. The MCNC Ambassadors are raising money to
refurbish a well in Liberia. In Liberia, the women often
have to walk close to 3 miles with 5 gallons of water just
for necessities.
