Product Description Johnson Controls, Inc. is pleased to announce new additions and enhancements to Facility Explorer Supervisory Controllers: • FX22, FX62, and FX70 Supervisory Controllers • FX Supervisory Controller Accessories • FX Supervisory Controller Software Release 3.0 • FX40 Trade-up Program

FX22, FX62, and FX70 Supervisory Controllers The FX22, FX62, and FX70 are new additions to the Facility Explorer Supervisory Controller family. The FX22 and FX62 are wall mounted supervisory class controllers that contain 16 onboard Input/Output (I/O) points and an integral power supply. The FX22 and FX62 provide the same supervisory and control functionality as the FX20 and FX60 except that the FX22 and FX62 are housed in packages designed to reduce installation time and cost. The FX22 and FX62 include conduit knockouts, wiring labels, and power wire segregation with all wiring connections concealed. Connectivity is extended with the optional onboard General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) modem. You can have Web browser and FX Workbench access even when there is no Ethernet LAN connection. The onboard I/O points allow you to implement control applications without the need to run a separate field device trunk. The FX22 and FX62 are ideal for retrofits, new construction, small buildings, remote sites, and energy management applications.

The FX70 is a DIN rail mounted supervisory controller similar to the FX20 and FX60 except slightly larger in size and with more computing resources. The FX70 is similar to a high performance, large capacity version of the FX60. The FX70 comes standard with 1 GB and 1 GB of flash memory. In addition, the FX70 has up to four times more RAM, eight times more flash, and a faster processor which enables more applications, larger databases, more histories, and more graphics.

Figure 2: FX70 Supervisory Controller

The new controllers support all of the same option cards and optional drivers as the FX20 and FX60, with one exception. The FX70 does not support the Wireless TEC option card at this time. Support for the Wireless TEC option card will be added to the FX70 in a future release.

FX Supervisory Controller Accessories Also new is the RS-485 remote Input/Output module (LP-FXRIO16-0), which expands the Supervisory Controller’s direct I/O capabilities. The FXRIO contains eight universal inputs, four relay outputs (Form A contacts), and four analog 0-10 VDC outputs. The FXRIO16 can be mounted up to 4,000 ft (1,219 m) from its host FX Supervisory Controller, using RS-485 networking. New GRPS modem option cards are now available to add cellular network remote access to the FX Supervisory Controllers. The FX22 and FX62 include models (FX2213 and FX6213) with the GPRS modem factory-installed. Alternatively, you can field mount this capability to FX20, FX60, and FX70 with the LP-FXGPRS-0 or LP-FXGPRSW-0 option cards. The GRPS modem option is a great capability to have for installation and commissioning during the early stages of a project when a hardwired Ethernet LAN has yet to be installed.

FX Supervisory Controller Software Release 3.0 Facility Explorer Supervisory Controller Software Release 3.0 uses NiagaraAX 3.5, which contains several new features and enhancements. Some of the new features are: • Export Tagging: allows certain items of an FX Supervisory Controller station to be tagged

for export to an FX Server station. All the export tags of a FX Supervisory Controller station can be automatically mapped into the FX Server when the supervisory controller joins the FX Server. Tagging is available for Px views (graphics), control points, histories, schedules, files, and components. Tagging allows you to automate the time consuming process of discovering data in a FX Supervisory Controller and then mapping into an FX Server.

• History Grouping: allows logical groupings of histories based on dynamic property values. The history database can now have multiple navigation trees that are customized for your specific project.

• On-Call Service: allows the routing of alarms to multiple people based on a prioritized contact list, including delays and escalation. Standard scheduling can be used to manage who is on call and when they are on call.

• Email and SMS Alarm Acknowledgement: provides a method for users to acknowledge alarms by simply replying to the email or SMS alarm notification.

To upgrade an FX Supervisory Controller to the Release 3.0 software, the FX Supervisory Controller requires there to be a minimum of 10 MB file system free space. The file system free space size can be determined by looking at the station’s Platform Service Container or from the Platform’s Platform Administration node of the Nav tree. If there is not 10 MB (10,000 KB) of free space, user intervention is needed to remove files, histories, and/or alarms to reduce file space usage until there is free space of at least 10 MB. Most FX40 controllers may not have enough files space memory for this upgrade.

Facility Explorer FX40 Trade-up Program Effective Through March 31, 2011 For a limited time only, when you purchase select FX Supervisory Controllers from Johnson Controls, you will receive up to a $300.00 credit for each FX40 you trade in.

Program Details The new FX Supervisory Controller software (release 3.0) features NiagaraAX 3.5, which uses more memory than previous versions. As a result, most FX40 controllers will not operate properly with the new 3.0 release. Johnson Controls wants to provide an upgrade path for all FX40 users, so we are offering the FX40 upgrade program through March 31, 2011.

Rebate Information You must meet the following criteria to receive the rebate: • You must order the replacement controllers with the new T code numbers as shown in
