Paper labels on rolls are used in a wide range of applications and can be produced in almost any shape, size or configuration.

These can be die cut to your shape, printed from 1 spot colour up to 7 spot colours or CMYK (full colour process print), and rolled to any specifications that your printer or applicator may require. The core size and roll direction can be specified (see roll direction chart on page 95).

We use premier paper stocks ensuring correct adhesion and durability of stock and ease of label application. Label paper stocks are available in gloss or matt finish with removable or permanent adhesive. We also provide specialty paper stocks, eg. in gold and silver paper (matt or gloss finish).

Varnishes, laminates and embossing can be added to these labels (see specialty options page 9-10) and will give your brand the “edge in presentation”. Our paper labels are the solution to your needs!

Synthetic labels on rolls are used for applications that a paper label will not suit, for example in the presence of water, oils or other fluids.

The most popular stocks are white vinyl (gloss or matt), white polypropylene (gloss or matt), silver and gold polyester.

All stocks are available with over-lamination (gloss or matt) to add that extra protection or “feel” that enhances the label. These can all be printed from 1 spot to 7 spot colours, full colour

print and die cut to any shape or size.


A very common usage for our stickers is in the food industry for the packaging of product. These stickers are applied to the outside of cartons or to the product itself (as in the bottle or cardboard box). Bright, smart, attractive label designs add to the appeal. A special application example is synthetic labels which are for use in oil based products to ensure that the label will outlive the product.

Overstickers – these are a popular use – often used to put over a sticker where some printing may have been changed or for import/export regulation compliance use.

Application – As these are able to be rolled to any specification (including varying core diameters, rolling direction and maximum roll diameter) we give you the versatility you need to make certain that the roll fits to any applicator machine and maximises the efficiency.

One of the most effective giant killers in advertising is a fridge magnet. When the application is to attach an ID or a despatch instruction to an item which is challenging to tag, we recommend a ticket. These are printed on either a stiff card, with beveled corners, a reinforced eyelet and an attacher, or on a synthetic card – which means that the wet or raining conditions the ticket may be used in are also catered for.

The option to reinforce the hole are a manilla washer, a metal eyelet or a strong laminated header panel, where the clear overlaminate reinforces the material around the punched hole. We can provide a looped string as well.

Every label on a roll has a specific direction which when named means that all parties – us as the printer, the bottling or label applicator and also for the over printer (where the labels may be overprinted with specific and variable information) can be clear exactly what format it is to be provided in.

We have a sheet which shows all these industry standard directions (8 in all) so there is no chance of a misunderstanding or mix up. We also prefer to specify the roll outer diameter and the core diameter size as well.
