Ring Detect Relays & Off-Hook RelaysFEATURES and BENEFITSGuardian’s Ring Detect Relays respond to 40 – 155VAC, 20 – 25Hz telephone ringing voltage. They can be utilized to activate strobe lights, loud ringers or other signaling devices, to complement or replace ringers built into associated telephones. The relays are available as a module to fit into customer’s equipment, or they can be enclosed in weatherproof or explosion-proof housings.

In a telephone based paging system, a telephone situated near a paging speaker can create acoustic feedback that makes paging impossible. Off-Hook Relays automatically disable paging speakers near the telephone to eliminate this problem. Off-Hook Relays can also trigger signaling devices when, for example, an emergency phone is in use.

All relays are encapsulated in polyester epoxy resin. Weather proof and explosion proof enclosures are available. Maintaining safety standards may require use of special wiring conduits or other considerations.

INSTALLATION and CONNECTABILITYThe Ring Detect Relay is easily and connected to Tip & Ring wiring and power source. The Off-Hook Detect Relay is similarly connected to Tip & Ring and paging speaker wiring.

All relays are encapsulated in polyester epoxy resin. Weather proof and explosion proof enclosures are available.

Standard Speaker Phone/ Ringdown Circuit BoardFEATURES and BENEFITSThe Standard Speaker Phone /Ringdown series circuit board pack is telephone line powered for basic operation and does not require external power. This circuit board kit supports both keypad and up to three auto dialer switches. It also includes a single Auxiliary Device Relay to remotely control an external device ( e.g.: security camera ). The Auxiliary Device Relay is closed whenever the telephone is off-hook. Provision of a supplementary power supply will increase the speaker volume capability from 82 dB to 85 dB at 0.5 meter.

Advanced Speaker Phone/ Ringdown Circuit BoardFEATURES and BENEFITSThe Advanced Speaker Phone /Ringdown series circuit board pack is intended for use where a supplemental power supply is available. The advanced series product offers an integrated 5W audio amplifier providing superior audio quality over typical line powered devices. In addition, three Auxiliary Device Relays are available; one primary control and two supplemental controls. The primary control relay works independently. The two supplemental control relays are also independent but cannot be activated simultaneously. These relays are suitable for controlling cameras, external lighting, electronic door locks, etc.

Note: In the event of a supplemental power failure, the Advanced Speaker Phone / Ringdown device will continue to operate in a basic functional mode. The primary and supplemental relay controls will continue to function, audio will still function at a reduced level.

ALDAutomatic Line DisconnectThe ALD Automatic Line Disconnect device is designed to enhance the operation of any telephone or Page/Talk Interface (PTTI), in certain circumstances.

Some telephone networks do not send out a disconnect signal but only generate a series of tones to alert the user that the communication device has not been returned to an on-hook condition. The disconnect signal expected by most telephone-like apparatus is a one second drop in the loop voltage to near zero. If this signal is not received the apparatus will remain off-hook, unless it times out or the user takes some action such as replacing the handset.

The ALD is installed between the device and the CO or PABX for the purpose of detecting the tone signal and sending out the one second voltage drop in loop current that the device will recognize as a disconnect signal.

Call Progress Tones vary from country to country therefore the ALD can be configured to obtain the correct settings.

INSTALLATION and CONNECTABILITYHigh voltages might be present in this product when it is connected to system wiring. It is the responsibility of the end user to ensure that this product meets the requirements for the area in which it is to be installed and that it is installed and wired according to local regulations.

The ALD Automatic Line Disconnect Device is designed to enhance the operation of Guardian’s Telecom hands free devices.

The ALD will accurately disconnect hands free Guardian products including the HDE-12 Emergency Telephone.

Page/Talk Desk Set Amplifier Harness Installation of a Page/Talk Desk Set Amplifier harness into a Guardian Telecom Indoor Housing enables a Guardian Telecom PTR or PTA Faceplate Module (when installed) to connect to a Guardian Telecom Desk Set.

The Desk Set and the Wall Station can be used independently of each other at the same time if a PTR (Handset Module) is installed in the housing. The two can be separated by up to fifty feet.
