implementation of KIIFB projects

The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board has sanctioned · arious projects to be implemented in the state through Fisheries Department. The duties and responsibilities of various officers in the execution of Harbour :i: rojects and Shore protection works near harbours, wherein the Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation (KSCADC) as PMU is fixed as per the details below in the areas where the HED is considered as the PIU.

AlJ major projects m the coastal · area which includes, harboui s, fish landing centres, groyne etc are implemented through HED by availing furn s from KIIFB through the designated Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). Kerala State ~oastal Area Development Corporation. Other major work entrusted to KSCADC i1 eludes educational and health infrastructure developments, modernization pf fish markets, Hospital, Fisheries and Social infrastructure developments etc. in the coastal area of the State.

For the execution of works, various procedures including prepare tion of Technical Sanction estimate, Issuance of Technical Sanction, E-tendering pf work,

~ Approval of Tender, awarding of work etc have to be completed in pre scribed timeframe in an effective manner.

Considering the matter in detail, the following duties and responsibilities are fixed for the Officers of HED (PIU) & KSCADC (PMU) for the smooth implementation of projects under KIIFB assistance.
