• During DT at site 9727 (Phase-A), neighbor list was updated/modified after feedback from the location

• Sector-2 of the 9727 cell had to handover its service to another nearby neighbor site while receiving higher RxL in the major lobe of candidate cell

• Even RxL became -110 dB at 20 Km from serving cell and call dropped. At that time the RxL of candidate cell was -60 dB

• Then call originated from candidate cell and moved towards the major lobe of sector-2 of site 9727

• When approaching at 10 Km away from target sector comparatively higher RxL observed and successful handover occurred

• Hence sector-2 was added in candidate cell but candidate wasn’t added

• The Frequency correction (FCH), synchronization (SCH) and random access channels (RACH) are transmitted in single burst each, and thus the use of interleaving between bursts

• After synchronization with correct frequency and timing slots if MS displays no service then BCCH frequency may not updating the device

• No access may occur even after location updating, could cause congestion, or connection error due to occupation of improper timing slots
